Some heroes had reworks that didn’t turn out very well and a lot of players would argue they are in a worse position now … can’t we just go back a couple of steps for them? It’s mainly about Sym but also Sombra and Mercy.
If this is your wish for 2020 you are prolly SoL – Blizzard has been known for doubling down rather than admitting they are wrong, and they already announced OW development is mostly done with the focus being on OW2 at BlizzCon 2019.
no rework worked if im not mistaken, sure they are playable, but not as their former selfs…
blizzard can’t change something from 250 to 200, instead they remove it, add something even worse and make it 450…
i dont see why any would be reversed, they were way worse before.

No, Mercy was a hide and seek Rez bot
Sombra was basically just there to farm EMP and otherwise useless (she would leave now the team basically with 1-1.5 DPS in a team - she cant be played anymore as a “support on 2CP Maps”)
Symmetra was for me (personally) way more fun before and she had a clear role - and her old mains seem to like her former selfe more. [Her 2.0 version tho]
Pharah was thrown in the trash with the splash dmg nerf, pls revert that one. She’s only viable with Mercy pocket now
Non of them got better … sure, Mercy need some nerfs because she was absolutly OP but they overdid it.
They have never done a huge revert, but they have done a few small ones.
Not sure if that counts.
they did, sym is a bit stronger on attack, has some utility, isnt a cancer in low ranks.
mercy is … well … some people prefer her this way.
sombra: will never be viable bcz she’s cancerous, so they increased her uptime and her effectiveness and decreased her cancer.
It reminds me of an episode of “better off ted” where the company replaced all sensores with new ones but the new sensores can’t detect people if their skin colour is to dark and because they refuse to admit the new sensors don’t work they try all sort of ridiculouse dum **** to make the system work.
Sym is weaker now … the only thing she has going for her is putting a TP 1st point on some 2CP maps and that is very little. She always was a niche pick but she had one.
Same goes for sombra. And they didn’t increase her uptime at all.
she has a higher skill ceiling, before they nerfed her tp (listening to some gold syms who have no idea how to use the ability) otherwise she was pretty decent at her job.
this is very bad. the tp should be used to assert control over the enemy team by out manouvering them.
sombra now deploys a tp every 6 s, so now u can deploy, it do your thing, redeploy it wothout waiting 4 seconds and reengaging
You might be happy to hear Jeff said that they’ve talked about letting players play heroes’ pre rework versions
The aforementioned heroes are in a fine state. Their biggest weakness (Sombra and Sym mainly) is that they depend a lot of teamwork. It’s something you can’t always be in control with, especially when half the team isn’t in vc. Sym depends on her tanks to push and help her charge her weapon, and Sombra depends on anyone who has an ult to follow-up with her EMP and hacks. Communication is key when it comes to both of them, which is why you can’t always just reply on their dmg to win.
What do you think old Sym would do in the current state of the game besides feed ult charge with her right clicks and die to Doom?
People are neglecting the fact that with all the barrier nerfs, Syms ult becomes much more valuable. TP gives her mobility and a way to dip in/out of fights so she can take advantage of her shield health. Her orbs speed also makes them actually usable in a duel and not just a choke spamming tool.

She is only strong in big brawls with fully charged beam and there are other heroes who are equally strong … the rest of her kit is to situational or to unreliable.
TP is to fragil and 99% of the time your team doesn’t have the coodination to play like it is intendet to be used.
That change was a total bnerf … sure it shortens your downtime a tiny bit when you bail out and go in again, but often you have situations where you need your TL but it was just destroyed or you just used it and the 2sec more CD lower your chances to survive drastically.
But i was more talking about making her stealth and TL infinite.
I just kind of wish they allow a means to play as the older heroes in Custom Games. I loved Old Torb. His current playstyle is much more suitable for comp, but Old Torb had a charm to his playstyle that feels irreplaceable. Throwing armor packs. Level 3 turrets. It was a nice rhythm that I wish was still around.
I also miss Sym’s old kit with the teleporter and shield gen. It was nice having 75 extra rechargeable shields, but it was a nightmare to play against a team of Sym’s defending a point in No Limits, cause all they would do is stack the shield gens on top of each other and walk around with 300-400 HP with those turrets everywhere like a cockroach infestation.

the tp is no squishy specially if you place it in key spots, also if your team doesnt use it, tell em about the strat tp on top sandwich em
it goes on cooldown when you throw it, if you throw it and it gets instantly destroyer you diserve the punishement its a great ability and the new cooldown is great for careful players.
