If the enemies are running a well Supported Rein/Zarya comp, THERE IS NO COUNTERPLAY EXCEPT MIRRORING on most maps.

Love it. And people though Mercy 2.0 was a must-pick.

HINT: Compare Earthshatter to Supercharger and Primal Rage. Also realize that most heroes have STATIC SHIELDING so they can’t exactly respond to counter the Shatter most of the time.

Bastion counter reinhard but sadly he is NEVER played.

A good bastion can crush rein shield in seconds forcing him to abandon the frontline more often than the usual. Also Bastion can be extremely easy countered by half of the roster

Maybe it’s because I’m a Sombra main and I piss 'em off, but I don’t really agree with that?

I mean, listen to the Sombra haters. She deletes people from the game apparently :joy:

That being said, I do think the range on Earthshatter is bonkers. But other than that, I don’t think he’s wild or OP.

There is. It is the so called “cheese comp”. That is Bastion. Orisa and Mercy. Though, this doesn’t officially exist in higher ranks. The mentioning of it is considered a sin in pro play.

I see sombra players as:

Cowards with poorly mechanical-skills frustrated Genji/Tracer players never could use these heros property and had go with a character give you a TICKET to FREE-FLANK and to delete people of the team without even give the face

Bastion is awful and can be countered by any marginally effective team. He’s not an effective counter to anything because he’s not effective.

Rein counters Orisa and it doesn’t go the other way. Earthshatter ruins her.

If you think Rein has no counters you have not played him. He is incredibly fragile outside of his niche. He is simply the tank that fits best with the actually good heroes in the meta.

Then the Orisa played badly as she has 3 ways to prevent being earthshattered.

Halting a rein out of place or off a ledge
Works better with a barrier down

Using your bigger than rein’ barrier to block it

Or the simplest of all just use fortify.

Due to powercreep. He’s the least affected by the reaper buffs, least affected by armor nerfs out of shield tanks, dive tanks got indirectly nerfed by mercy’s nerfs (only main healers left are deathballs), his best offtank is completely unaffected by armor nerf, dive is nerfed by dva’s nerf since most players can’t play Hammond, yeah…

I talked about how if these PTR nerfs go through Reinhardt is going to rise in powercreep months ago. Each patch is in his favor in comparison to other tanks, it’s not surprising and I don’t know how people didn’t see it coming.

Next Hero is going to be meta changing or roadhog and orisa are going to need serious buffs.

Sombra is a great option when you have a Rein or Bastion problem. In fact, a good Sombra is a great counter to any non-sniper except Pharah. Some characters become straight up dead meat: Rein, Roadhog, Winston, Lucio, Genji, Tracer…
