Whats your favorite? I like the one the Blizzard is actually trying to make Overwatch 2 fail to get tax write offs due to not making any money.

If that’s true, they are doing a bad job of it, simply based on the number of Lilith Moiras I saw running around yesterday. 
I mean the player base on steam has already dropped by half. There was also the leak on 4chan that they are in crisis mode over not making enough money. We could be seeing what happened to HoTs soon in OW.
Steam is a small fraction of the Overwatch playerbase. There’s probably more OW players on the Nintendo Switch than were on Steam.
And 4chan is hardly a credible source. They are well known for creating believable stories out of thin air hoping they gain traction. Considering how poorly managed Blizz has been over the past several years, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was true. But I think we need a more credible source before taking such a rumor seriously.

Steam is the number one gaming platform on PC. You can look up the steam stats yourself. It is public information. The data shows a major issue keeping players. The person who leaked a bunch of stuff on 4chan recently I guess has a good track record. To see if they are fully right have to wait for Blizzcon.
Yes, steam is incredibly popular. But few people on Steam bothered to download Overwatch to play it. Probably because they already played it on another platform or battlenet. The game is the same regardless of where you access it, so there wasn’t much point to get it on a different launcher. Other than to leave a negative review.

75k at peak down to 37k. That is a decent amount who use it. Also that upward and downward trends for multi platform games usually always match. Same was with Titanfall on Steam and Origin.

hyper realistic. considering, endless coding decisions to compel disinterest. dev mindset: “if we start dismantling the user experience we can reduce logins by XX percent”. dismantle: no post match stats. no LFG. no leaderboard stats. no leaderboard tab. imagine playing cod without end game stats.
