The world could always use more heroes.. behind paywalls

‘Free to Play but you have to play a ton to get the stuff we promised was free.’
Blizzard has reinvented what ‘Free to Play’ actually means.

I still remember the interview where they said 40 heroes on release with OW2. (8 new heroes)

Then it was 3 heroes on release for OW2.

Now, it’s 2 heroes on release for OW2, and pay $40 for a battle pass for a 3rd hero or play what I’m assuming to be close to 100 hours in QP to unlock a 3rd hero.

Imagine playing/grinding/throwing games in QP for 100 hours for the quickest EXP obtainable to unlock a hero, to THEN learn that hero enough to be comfortable playing it in Competitive.

By that time it’ll be end of season and the hero will be nerfed 10 different ways - assuming new heroes are broken AF on release like they have been previously.

I just can’t imagine any Competitive integrity in this game if a team immediately loses because they don’t have the best hero/hard counter in the game unlocked.

What an absolute joke.

You can’t help but feel bad for Support players.

-Lowest hero count.
-Last Support was 2019.
-Echo hyped to be a Support. NERRRP.
-Tank category gets 3 new heroes pretty much - Orisa rework, Doom role switch, Junkerqueen.
-Only the new Support hero locked behind a paywall.
-New Tank hero in December.
