The Winning Paradox

In my decades of playing video games, I’ve never seen group of developers who hate their players as much as the OW team.

I want to say for the record that if I happen to win a match, I’m still the same player I was 4-15 minutes earlier. Nothing has changed. There is no reason to put me against players who are well above my skill level.

I won three matches in a row, and I was put against a tank who spent time in masters, grandmaster, and top 500. How is that even a possibility? I’ve never even come close to those ranks.

The team ran a well coordinated dive that made leaving spawn a truly miserable experience. Lucio speed boosted the D’va and Sombra into one of us, and they killed a player in a couple seconds. There was nothing we could do. They also had a Mei who I’m not sure missed a shot.

Again, winning doesn’t mean I am magically more skilled than I was before the match. I’m still the same player. Your match maker is terrible for punishing people for winning.
