The weekly challenges are too much effort for little to no reward. 60 coins for a weeks worth of challenges is ridiculous especially with challenges like “get 20 team kills”. At minimum we should be getting 600 a week with the current state of the challenges, and maybe even double that for battlepass owners to actually give value to it. Something needs to be done about the unrewarding challenges, the lazy battlepass and the near universal price hikes. It’s just disgusting!
They can keep those in there imo, they just need to have more weekly challenges so you can make a choice of what what 11 you wish to go for in a week.
If you could complete 11 out of 20 for example you could choose what ones you want to complete instead of being forced into Arcade mode, or the the nearly impossible 20 team kills that never happens in low rank play (To much trickling)
Pretty much this. I’m fine with the idea of 20 team kills, but adding more than 11 weekly challenges would make it seem less of an issue for everyone. Ive gotten to play more OW2 than I will for the coming weeks, and I still haven’t earned 20 team kills.
Yeah, I agree with this - similar to the Dailies, just give players a variety of weekly challenges to target (and the remaining amount can give extra battlepass xp)
Outside of that, my only gripe is that the coins are tied to weekly challenges at all… it seems like missing one week of weeklies means you will have less than 500coins. So for anyone hoping to get a battlepass every other season, they will be set back an extra season. Not as big of an issue for me personally but I think it will be rough for others.
Something I want to see that Destiny did recently: A “Seasonal Challenge List” – it unlocks new challenges every week but the challenges remain throughout the season.
- For example, in Week 1 you will see the normal 11 weekly challenges. In Week 9, you will see 99 challenges. They unlock each week so you can either log in weekly or ‘catch up’ later when you get the time.
- It is still tied to the season so players will still feel incentivized to play that season and at a reasonable rate since no one wants to grind 99 challenges in the final hour
No one would ever buy any coins if this was the case
Well nobody will buy those in the first place or play this game anymore if this keeps up. This game will quickly go the way of Halo Infinite and Multiverse. Lots of players at the start to no players at all due to “free” to play greed.
I think the weekly challenges are great as they are. Any easier would ruin them.
You get more than that in most free to play games with cheaper outfits. What would you change it to if the “do weekly challenges to earn coins” had to stay? or are you just being a contrarian?
But they are not even hard, they just force you to play things you do not want to for an extended period of time.
I think there’s a challenge to kill the entire enemy team 25 times. I don’t think it’s weekly though.
Honestly, I feel everyone would prefer something like 200-500 kills
They won’t. They don’t want players getting premium currency, they want you spending money.
Impossible to finish team kill challenge.
Server issues during 2 days at the launch, and now, again (+ heroes locked).
15/20 TK -15 hours left… I guess I can say goodbye to those “precious” credits.
Thank you Blizz
I just managed to complete 20 team kills with a couple of hours left only to find that we have to do 20 team kills again this week and I just can’t even…
They really do need a change. 60 coins, basically 60 cents. I could scrounge around my room and probably find more than that in forgotten change and earn that many coins in less time than it takes to clear 4 weekly challenges; much less all 11 of them.
Whoever sets these prices believes that hours of your life are worth 60 cents or less. Something has to change. Questionable pricing, a launch beset by problem after problem (and let’s face it, not entirely out of the woods on that front yet), combined with an already stingier reward system than OW1. I can’t speak for everyone, but right now it seems the gameplay changes are breathing enough fresh life into Overwatch only to leave me wishing that maybe it would’ve been better to let Overwatch die with some dignity rather than let Dr. Junkenstein raise it as a horrible monster.
