i know a lot of people have been thinking this but no one has the balloons to say it, widowmaker should NOT have headshot damage. there’s liturtlely no reason for widowmaker to be able to kill someone in 1 shot when they accidentally hit someone near their head instead of their body because that just makes the game frustrating and unfair for those who just want to play the game without going into respawn for no reason cause the other team has a windowmaker

The truth about widow is that she is a high skill hero that can be countered (by more than just another widow).

Headshots are harder to land so they are more rewarding.

Yeah, and?

It’s still hard and at least when widow does it you know it was intentional and they weren’t just firing in a random sonic arrow.

Headshots are fine, but it should be the normal 2x damage, not 2.5x (240 max dmg. instead of 300*).

Nobody will admit it because “muh skill”, but Widow is one of the core problems with this game. The whole reason GOATS exists is because it’s the only thing that would not instantly die vs. double sniper.

*Apparently people can’t take two seconds to see people have already pointed out the error, so I fixed it for any future lazy forumgoers.

No? There are a lot of counters to snipers. And GOATS literally cant touch snipers. Shields are counter to snipers, especially widow. And what’s the meta tank rn? Oh Rein with a big 2000 hp shield.

Widow & Hanzo’s kit (namely post-scatter-rework) give them the flexibility to win against any hero they are supposed to have a disadvantage against.

Seems you misread what I said.

Yes, GOATS is strong vs. double sniper. That’s why it’s successful. Double-sniper was the meta before GOATS became popular, and GOATS replaced it because it served as a direct counter to double-sniper.

Agreed, widow should not be able one shot. Lower it or something to give people the chance to get away after they’ve been shot. most of the times in the havoc of all the action it’s hard to pinpoint when a sniper is setting up. To be honest I would love if they gave her a different dynamic, like maybe after a headshot there could be a small stun, kind of like what McCree flashbang does.

I disagree, hitting someone in the left elbow is harder, but theres no crit box for that, so people don’t try :frowning:

The headshot multiplier for Widow is 2.5 to counter the body nerf ages ago.

A full charge bodyshot is 120, while a headshot is 300.
