First granted I could not play for weeks due to server issues, but I still think this need to be fixed.
Since release I’m only at lvl 20, that means in the time until end I will only get to 60

Actually this is not “stupidity”, but the opposite, it’s very smart design.
They want you to pay more money, which you have to do if you want to unlock the battlepass that you already paid for in time if you start late or play at a laid back pace.
That being said: There are not enough swear words in all languages on this planet to describe ActiBlizzard’s monetization schemes lately.
“Utterly disgusting, toxic, consumer-unfriendly and predatory garbage” would be angels voices in the choir of opinions on what they did here.

You only need to be level 27 by this tuesday to be on pace to complete it. You’re not too far off, with double exp weekends, the servers working now, and there still being ~40 levels worth of exp from the remaining daily challenges alone, you could still realistically finish it on time

i think the battle pass suck, i mean, overwatch is becoming like fortnite or every of those game full of micro-transaction

Golly, guess I’ll do it again. Except I like OW, so I will probably give them 20$ every once in a while.

Since release I’m level 61 and I haven’t played all that much. That’s getting all my dailies done and most weeklies so far (I always get enough weeklies for the 50 coins but don’t go for extra 10 because screw Arcade).

I’ve stopped actively chasing the coin /pass carrot. It will lead to burn out and resentment, the new skins aren’t that great (other than kiriko’s cyber skin) and the game is 1st person anyway.

If you can’t play 3 whole matches a day to knock out easy dailys, I don’t think you have the time to be “on par” and I guess that ruins the gameplay loop somehow.

That’s actually another point I don’t do challenge S*t and I’m sure plenty of other people dont ether I just play the game so they’re essentially punishing me for not doing an aspect of the game that I don’t enjoy.
So you’re complaining and surprised that you’re only lvl 20 something even though you don’t care about challenges…?
No one is punishing you, you simply choose not to do the BP challenges
It’s not hard at all to lvl up, literally just do dailies and some weekly challenges and you’ll reach lvl 80 by the end of the season

Challenges are how casual players clear the battle pass. If you aren’t doing them you’re not going to clear it.
I’ve been playing it for around 2/3 hours a day and I’m at level 93 with the 20% exp boost. It isn’t in any way hard to get to level 80 so I don’t understand the [hurdur they want you to pay more money to complete it]. If they wanted to they wouldn’t give you 2,3 double exp weekends?
That being said, I think the cash shop pricing is absolutely atrocious because there is no way in hell that those skins are worth even close to 20$. It’s obvious they are trying to hit a spot there people feel entitled to buy the skins for those prices because they will miss out otherwise.
I hope that people do not cave in and that it forces them to reevaluate their marketing scheme to something more consumer-friendly.
