It’s been about 3 days and I noticed that the Sombra players have been getting better and better.
They have been learning to adapt and change up their playstyle to match her new kit. By the time the midseason patch rolls around, we might just see some extremely small tuning for her.
Her winrate is probably extremely low right now, but every day it will get better and better
My prediction is that it’ll never be as good as soldier 76, tracer, mccree, or whatever other heroes Sombra’s current kit tries to mimic. She plays nothing like a unique hero. She plays almost exactly like Soldier or McCree, but worse. There is zero room to argue. This is the only correct statement. Yes, people are going to get better, because that’s what people do, but guess what? That does not nor will it ever matter because Sombra mains shouldn’t be forced to learn a playstyle that essentially bogs down to ‘x hero but worse’.

Sombra players learning to adapt:
“Sombra isn’t working on this map” → ends up going to spawn to swap hero.
“Sombra isn’t working against the enemies picks” → ends up going to spawn to swap hero.

considering the simplicity of her new kit i dont understand why it would be hard to adapt to it.
It’s more likely the Sombras that spent the whole game afk invis are actually doing stuff outside of their single engagement a fight. It’s counter dive sombra except all the time.
Being able to work with garbage doesn’t make garbage not garbage. If anything it goes to show you that the people who do play her a lot actually liked the character and weren’t relying on crutches to be good players like everyone and their dog insists is the case around here.
That was the whole idea behind the changes
The damage output from Sombra is getting buffed, but the penalty is in the permanent stealth

So she basically plays like a crappier Tracer.
So. People are going Tracer instead.
That’s. bad!
Mainly because her new playstyle requieres to be very agressive and stay close to the fight.
With 225 hp, short range and low mobility when fighting she is an easy target.
She still has abilities of a flanking/assassin character.
But currently has to play like a regular dps.
Its a bit odd and will probably see some changes.
(At least she can melt tanks for good now lmao)
Whoever made the Sombra changes needs to get moved to another department. Just revert Sombra already.
She was clearly guttered on purpose as seen by the jester skin they’re giving away on twitch to laugh at Sombra players.
That’s like saying ashe is a crappier widowmaker.
The power you get for lower floor will be weaker.
I mean as long as the direction is assassin sombra this is how it works, i told this almost a year ago on virus rework.
It’s more of off angling close to your supports while being aggro.
She needs speed passive.
Tp needs a bit more range like
2-3 MTR extra cause before you had time to use props and invis to get extra range but now you can’t.
See this imbecile ankle biter phenomenon only exist from people who picked sombra after virus rework.
Or you saying you don’t have anything unique with sombra with a kit that can
invis
Hack people ult abilities
Can hack med packs
Literally a easy fight win ult
All that and more and you think you don’t have anything unique than tracer.

you don’t even realise the game is now on it’s way to being a dead game… A level of trust has been broken that no player in their right mind shouldn’t fear and absolutely stand against… because your main might be the next character left gutted and unplayable at the whim of someone who doesn’t even play it…
Im a hanzo tracer main, my main already got gutted and rose back , but even in the worst states of identity crisis we hanzo mains didn’t curse at other mains, at most we drew comparison with widow our fellow sniper kins.
We stated our identity and kept it at that.
We didn’t go around abusing others.
Obviously expecting class and dignity from most sombra mains is a mistake i guess
