The second I saw the word "Bundle," my heart sank

Kotick needs a new yacht, he cant be pulling up to the docks at Epstein’s island looking like some peasant.

Fortnite battle pass is much more consumer friendly than OW2.

And that’s a worrying place to be, imo.

Honestly, the people it usually affects the worst are the impulsive buyers who don’t have much.

Yeah and what’s worse is that these bundles seemingly only cost direct money and can’t be bought with OW2 coins. This is punishing players with the watchpoint pack who saved their 2000 OW2 coins it came with. Scummy as hell.

I guess they don’t understand the importance of 2 things:

  1. Rewards are important.
Rewards are something to strive for. A constant which will be with you for your entire journey of playing a game.
Hero balance changes, map pools change.
Even every single match is different and in the hands of 9 different other players who could potentially mess up your experience.
So it’s only for one 10th in your hand. Let’s say 11th because server issues are a thing.

But rewards are a consrant thing. Something you are in control of.

Let’s take WoW as an example for all those players saying skins are not important. Farming mounts is sh*t and unfun but the 250 runs are well worth the struggle to have a mount you enjoy to use or just… to have it.
FOMO is also based on the feeling to have something. It can’t be that unimportant, right?
They have taken away earnable skins and player levels… I cared about them and they were my major motivation.

  1. Treating customers respectfully with appropriate prices.

It’s not about being able to effort a skin or not. It’s about an absurd price for something that should not cost that much. Let alone for skins which were released in the past…
I bet lots of players have disposable income… But these prices together with the fact that we don’t have anything else at the event… is a slap into face.

Recently in ebay I followed an item. Which then was placed for a higher price and I was given a 10% price off (still higher than before). I just bought it somewhere else for more money. …
It’s not always about the price tag.

The new prices are not just high but infuriating.

Turns out the best premium currency is still real money lol…

I am so disappointed and I rly love OW and my place looks like a hero gallery…

Yeah tbh I’m probably just a free player going forward because this is ridiculous

A big part of it was a change in the law in many parts of the world that classify loot boxes as a form of gambling.

Blizz has just moved to the next thing that doesn’t involve making a reward system that works.

You think ActivisionBlizzard would shut down?

This has been blizzards tactic over the past few years. Look to diablo immortal for proof. They intentionally make it appear really expensive and then dial back the prices to reflect more common sense. This leads to people believing things are where they should be, and balance is restored. Rather Blizzard already has this planned from the start. They will never introduce new ways to earn coins. They will slash the prices in a way where you may be able to squeeze 2 skins out of there massive coin packages.

Is that all we getting!!!
Events were the one thing I loved most about the game. I have all the old skins and was a collector.

I assumed if you buy a battle pass it allows you to also earn event skins like the old weekly challenges we used to have. Such a shame as this game was amazing.

You sound like you just started earning a source of income. $20 is $20 dude. It’s not some magical number that’s unpercievable to the common man. What’s actually wrong with you? Lol.
And yes, we’re definitely moving into new territory in gaming, YOU don’t have a grasp on the future.
The market cap for video games is expected to increase by 50% by 2024. From $200 Billion to $300 Billion. Times are changing, you don’t have to be on the ship for it to leave port, old man.

And you sound like you have too many GPUs you’re trying to sell on eBay.

What you need is an education in economics. And maybe spend less time on the forums.

Stop complaining on the forum and UNINSTALL THE GAME. It’s the only way your voice is heard, player numbers are the only thing that matters.

I don’t like OW2’s design. I uninstalled the game. I come back every now and again to see if they’re changing anything. But the number of bugs and the fact they have to pull characters out of the game because they’re broken just makes me realize this game is a shell of its former self.

WTF happened to Blizzard? There was a time when I thought they were the best developers around!

From what I’ve heard, there is nothing really even earnable in-game skin wise, the winston skin is just used to feed their twitch numbers

I mean i kinda knew this was going to happen, its blizzard guys why are we suprised they’re pulling a “EA”.

also they still think skins should be worth 20 dollars AHAAAAA
blizzard really thinks OW2 is equal to Apex legends price points.

Oh look, essentially the same game mode for the 7th year in a row.

Between the battlepass and lootbox sales they would have been just fine. This new system is just going to scare off people who otherwise would have been paying customers.

If the weapons for the skins had their own sounds/ animations only way it be worth 20 bucks.

10 bucks was a fair price for OWL skins. They have gone too far with pricing.

The mythic Genji skin from the battlepass with it’s own voicelines/ blade sound. RGB shurikens makes the battlepass worth grinding for.

EDM DVA skin with her own sounds for the rockets/ bomb are top tier skins. This is what the standard should be if they’re going to charge 20 bucks for a skin.
