How do I go 5 - 5 with great stats and derank. I could perfectly understand remaining the same despite the bad matchmaking but deranking??? Cut the s#^t Blizzard

You do know in OW1 you would stay the same rank if you went 5-5…
im pretty sure when you win in ow1 you gain less sr, like 20 and when you lose it subtracts 30 sr
(I could be really wrong tho someone correct me if I am)
5-5 is not a good record lol.
If you went like 5-0 or 5-1 and deranked, but even then depends on your performance in those games. So many posts like this I cant even count lol. Just because you win 5 games doesn’t mean you HAVE to be promoted. You can be demoted or stay the same, there’s a lot of factors.

If you think this is bad, you haven’t seen ranked until you play in other regions that has a much smaller playerbase. Due to our small playerbase, the “rank inflation” we’ve experienced was pretty small compared to others. So NA players have it much easier imo. If you belong in a certain rank, you’ll definitely get there eventually. Especially if the matchmaker has more than enough playerbase to work with.
I’ve gone 5-2 and deranked. Game is a joke.
I got deranked from 5-4 games all to way down to B5. I ended up quitting though.
there has been talk of rank inflating. maybe SR gains are more and less now. i cant remember what it was before but maybe they increased it like 5 fold
i also wondered if SR requirements for ranks have decreased. it use to be you need 500 sr points to reach the next rank maybe its less now like 300 or something? so you would notice a rise/decrease in rank real fast
who knows tho since SR is hidden from us now and we got labels and placements
actually now that i think about it if they tighten the rank requirments to be less it would make queue times faster … i think!? maybe that was the goal … faster queue times 
the system is the worst competitive system in the entirety of gaming btw. this is the only game where you can go 5-12 and double rank up but then have another player go 5-1 and stay the same rank
