I’m sick of hearing it. “Its just quick play, we can play whatever we want, its not comp so we don’t get punished.”
Just because its not comp doesn’t mean its not a PROBLEM.
I am THIS close to making my account private because i can’t play without a horrible team comp. All we ever get it 4+ dps, most of which do absolutely nothing. Whenever I try to play DPS, they all still choose DPS too. (Even when i choose first.)
Just because i mostly play tanks doesn’t mean i can’t play other kinds of heroes. I can play Lucio and Moira well, and Mccree too. If i had a GOOD team comp…
I’m basically forced to heal or shield whenever i don’t want to, i wanna use quick play to practice, but how can i practice if i’m constantly getting stomped because of our horrible team comp? That’s right. I can’t.
I know there are good comps other than 2/2/2, but no good, memorable comp has FOUR of the same kind of hero. Not even goats, which is 3/3.
But there’s also the mentality that people don’t really take it seriously, because its quick play. The casual mode. You could report people in there, but it does nothing, that’s why i don’t either. Every match feels like i’m babysitting a bunch of “aspiring” dps mains that don’t know what common sense is.
No, i will not play Zarya just to help you get a 4-Man.
No, i will not solo-heal as Mercy so we can have 4 DPS. That’s just a death wish.
And NO, i will not switch off DPS when i choose it first. Its only fair, because everyone else insta-locks it, whether i do nothing or do impressive doesn’t really matter at this point.
Hell, most of the time, it’s way too obvious that the enemy team is trying a lot harder than mine. “Your team is trying, they just wanna all play dps.”
How often does a team comp of 4 dps or more actually win? Not very often, right?

I just want a normal game mode that isn’t competitive where people actually play the game correctly. I WOULD be having fun if i wasn’t losing. It’s not fun getting stomped because your teammate chose Hanzo instead of a second healer, even if its a backfill.
So please, for the love of god, stop this quick play mentality, make the mode actually PLAYABLE again.
Comp is for trying one’s hardest.
Quick play is for having fun.
Losing isn’t fun no matter what mode it is.
I wanna try without waging my precious SR.
People in QP did not show up just to help you get loot boxes and experience.
When people play Comp, they want SR, (or golden guns.)
When people play QP they don’t necessarily care about winning, and I don’t think that constitutes as gameplay sabotage.
That’s debatable. I’ve had some of the best games of my career and still lost.
If the only way you can have fun is to win, Overwatch just isn’t the game for you. You’re not going to win all of your games. Learn to have fun in the face of a loss, or at least learn to shrug it off, and your experience will be a whole lot better.
Like i already said, i just want a mode where i can play a real game without wagering my SR. Quick Play isn’t that. I never said it was MY fault for making the team lose, because i actually play things besides DPS.
And it shouldn’t be. You want fun? Go to the arcade. There is no true way to practice heroes in this game unless it’s competitive.
QP should be what it was like when this game first released. Where people actually you know, tried.
I couldn’t agree more. Arcade is honestly even worse, its hardly even fun. Its just a game of luck to see if you get free loot boxes or not.
Besides, considering loot boxes, how often do we get good items? Yeah, not really worth playing arcade for.
even if we ignore that people aren’t trying their best all the time in comp anyways, and we got throwers and leavers and all that in comp too…
Where’s the mode that provides a good gaming experience where people want to win, yet do not want to be ranked by a loss or a win?
Some people prefer a serious environment to play this game without being forced to play competitively. It’s not like wanting a 2/2/2 comp and a desire to win and swap is too much to ask. But what sort of fun is there in losing?

That is EXACTLY what i’m saying! (Aside from the people not trying in comp part.) Its either i get a real match and gamble my SR, or i play with people with no common sense and i lose!

Yes, it is important to play comp to get more experience, but I don’t think you don’t get experience from playing games that aren’t comp 
playing mystery heroes is a good way to get some dps time.
I’m a terrible Hanzo but I had my first match playing him without dying tonight. I even got to ult.

So you’re telling me that you’re able to understand how a hero works when you have 4 other DPS on your team, no tanks, and a Lucio or Zenyatta?

And I’ve also had some comp matches like that, so with 4 DPS and no tank
I wonder how tilted you would be if they practiced their DPS heroes in comp? 
Perhaps, you should consider a second account and in that sense you don’t have to worry about SR… or… just stop worrying about SR.
They should just award 1 CP for winning QP since people come and whine about people not caring about the non-competitive mode so much. It’d also ensure that people who only play comp for the golden gun and not for comp …wouldnt
