I think people abused the community too much as an excuse nowadays.
The community is not a united being. There are various, quasi all-sorta ideas that conflict each other in the community. So, when the devs do something, it’s highly likely that it is already said once in the community. Then people said that the devs did what people wanted.
Also, even if the devs have listened to the community, it’s highly likely that they chose only the idea they’ve already thought and wanted.
It’s just an online pub.
