The game was already unbalanced as it was, and the addition of perks made it more unbalanced. I am playing comp and I lose 4, win 1, lose 3, win 1, lose 3 (I took that straight from my history). All this started at the beginning of season 15, so I can only assume it is because of the perks unless there is a glitch in the matchmaking that no one knows about. And I feel like you are going to have to remove them because this isn’t the first post that I have seen so people don’t like them. I was just starting to like this game again after coming back from the other game that I can’t say the name of because I got a post removed because of it.
Yes, that was the point. To let go of the perfect balance ideal and reintroduce some of the wackiness from the earlier years of the game.
ow1 was fun, not this crap, ow1 have 6vs6, dont have busted tanks, dont have passives, this is far away to how fun ow1 was, perks only make 5vs5 problems worst
The few games I’ve played have WAYYY more uncertainty of victory in them.
I had a couple I mentally started to give up on but managed to turn around in a row.
That’s kinda unusual for me.
I like it though.
Arent you all praising mr for that exact reason thou ? It being unbalanced seems to be the thing that most of you praise about mr , and yet you cry for balance in ow …
Proof gamers dont actually know what they want , yall just complain like spoiled children
The perks are unbalanced, but your issue is more likely the rank reset. I had the same issue until my placements were done. Now its… still an issue but not as bad as placements.
Perks are just another desperate attempt to keep a flawed system like 5v5 or solo tank running. It should have been clear that this wouldn’t work when other heroes had to be reworked so drastically for the system that they no longer fit their original roles and identities.
It’s got nothing to do with 5v5. The 6v6 tests are gonna have perks too.
Then Blizzard is even dumber than I thought. The next 6v6 test is supposed to be for ranked. But to properly compare this test with the previous ones, it needs to have the same conditions.
If they change anything in the patch, the entire test becomes invalid and cannot be compared.
But Blizzard seems to be sabotaging the 6v6 tests anyway, since the dev blog mentioned numbers that aren’t even comparable.
Wouldn’t make sense since perks are a fundamental part of the game now and the tests are to see how 6v6 fits into that.
It’s simple pretzel don’t press alt
You don’t have to be a perkist , come to the pure side and become a purist reject the perks
Think of all the overworking you are being subjected to
Are you okay there bud
Aww the pretzel is so concerned, thank you dear
It doesn’t seem like it. Wasn’t he advocating for not using perks as some sort of protest? I’m sure that’ll go swimmingly.
EDIT:
Nevermind, I skimmed right by it in this very thread.
That would make sense if they didn’t give the already meta heroes the most OP stuff while giving the heroes with the most potential for whackiness either trash or literal nerfs to their kits if they choose perks.
No, it has to be identical to the previous test, otherwise the comparison is invalid.
The problem is that the perks already make the test pointless, meaning no proper comparison can be made. If you leave the perks out, they’ll say the results are skewed because of their absence. But if you include them, the test becomes incompatible with the previous ones.
The only real solution is to run a completely new 6v6 test for both Quick Play and Ranked.
And if you’re pressing Alt, then at least do it with F4!
it have everything to do with 5vs5, perks make 5vs5 problems worst, 6vs6 with perks will be bad too, but not thanks to perks, but the developers who really really suck at balancing the game
If anything what you’re describing further supports what I said their intention is
And I’m not really sure which heroes you’re even referring to with the trash perks. I’m seeing a lot of variety in my games.
Not at all. Your problem is in assuming the point is to compare it with the last 6v6 test. They are still going to get data on how well this iteration of 6v6 will slot into the current game.
I don’t think we need to tell the devs that perks made the game harder to balance. They knew they would be creating more work for themselves, because they’re the ones doing said work. They felt that the game needed something fresh, so they added a new feature, even if it made things more chaotic both in-game and at the studio.
However, once we, the players, acknowledge that decision, we have a right to disagree with it. I, for one, wish they had just waited until Stadium came out, or gave us a QP: Hacked instead of putting them in competitive right away.
