The Overwatch QP Experience

Disconnect due to server issues (I’ve been noticing often in my matches, one or two players will go afk then disconnect)

Then end up in a match where your teammate wants to be friends with the enemy and you can’t leave the match because you’ll be penalized

How fun

You also can’t leave a hardcore stomp match because you’ll be penalized too. You just need to waste time in it and wait for it to end by itself. God forbid everyone still tries hard for some reason even though not a single one scored a single kill in last 3 minutes… Which is basically every 3 matches out of 5 from my experience. The state of QP is just so trash.

I also hate your scenario where I get dropped in a Clash match and I can’t leave because the assemble team has already ended and match is ongoing. And I have to remain in one of the dumbest game modes of all times because of that or get penalized.

This is childish. You leaving a stomp means someone else has to be pulled from the head of the queue and replace you. Why do you feel you have more of a right to a fun game than your replacement? Sure, it’s bad luck and nobody wants to be at the wrong end of a stomp. But at the same time, you should at least consider that you will be ruining the fun for someone else just because you want to throw your toys out of your pram.

Now, lobbying for a surrender option would be a more adult thing to do perhaps.

I’d not have to do that if:
a) matches weren’t so blatantly obviously rigged

b) sometimes player swaps actually change the course of rigged stomp matches

c) because apparently standing still for rest of the stomp match is somehow better than just leaving it outright

None of this would be a thing if Blizzard just fixed the stupid matchmaking in quick play. Instead they rather blame players and constantly punish them because that’s all they know to do. Punish punish punish and blame everyone but themselves or their broken game.

The replacement has a higher MMR. It’s not likely to be a stomp once someone with poor mental leaves the game to be perfectly honest. Unless they are replaced with someone who has a similar mindset. In which case, the second person deserves the stomp more anyways because they did not decide to eat the penalty.

You don’t “have to do” anything. You CHOOSE to do it.

And no, stop being delusional and conspiracy theorist with point a). Grow up.

Just because you don’t understand the complexity of matching in a hero shooter like OW doesn’t mean the MM is broken. Could it do better? Probably. But no matter how good it gets, there will always be stomps. There are too many variables outside the control of the MM. The main one is the heroes that people on each team pick. A single bad pick can be the difference between a good match and a stomp.

Consider that sometimes the game is a stomp and all is lost then the tank switches and suddenly you’re making progress. Go play RQ MH for a bit and you’ll see this constantly. In fact, it’s a real eye-opener to see how 1 change to the team comp can totally change the game. You are stuck outside spawn and your tank dies and randomly gets Sigma and suddenly you stomp through 1st point. This happens all the time in MH which is why a game is never lost until it finishes.

You are simply very childish with your “rigging” claims, your use of “have to” (which says a lot) and your lack of empathy for the person that has to backfill if you leave in your little baby tantrum.

Lately at least when the enemy team has had leavers in my qp games, the replacement has not made a major difference.

Show Blizz how you really feel, hit them where it hurts. But you won’t stop playing

I do not particularly disagree. I am not sure if I am just unlucky or if they actively changed the system. I hope they did not change it as it was genuinely one of the best equalizers to resolve stomps. For better or worse.

Right, because matches where you can’t score a single kill for entire round and enemy team has 20+ kills each totally feel normal. Totally. We were all switching and trying and nothing changed. Absolutely nothing. Imagine placing random’s without comms against OWC pros where they all use mics. That’s how these matches feel. So shove your BS claim calling me childish somewhere.

This isnt so much the QP experience as its the OW2 experience lol. Disconnects in comp are just as rampant.

Because me not playing will change things… how again? Where actually hurts them the most is me still playing their F2P game, but never ever ever buying ANYTHING from them. Ever. That’s what actually really hurts them.

But you are childish. Things don’t go well and you want to leave the playground and get to your mommy safe place as quickly as possible. Any kind of adversity is just too much for little Johnny to handle without holding his mommy’s hand!

Sound like anyone you know? Just play the game, lose, and go next. It’s not that hard.

Oh no, usually definitely not in my experience

Dude, having ZERO kills for ENTIRE round on control and 0% captured is hardly calling it “don’t go well”. It was god damn apocalyptic annihilation. Calling me childish for complaining over such absolutely idiotic matches just makes you look childish.

One thing is losing with both teams at 99% and last fight on overtime is decider, whatever, I don’t mind losing to that. That’s a good fight. But these are so rare I just might find diamond in my backyard with greater chance than it happening in the game. But being absolutely destroyed literally the entire match, that’s just so stupid I sure as hell won’t be quiet about it.

If you’re being stomped just stop going out of spawn unless you go as a group, what you can do is step out and do poke damage and head back in, keep repeating this until the enemy team falls back. It seems to work well if the entire team accepts this strategy and so far it has worked in 30% of my games where it’s a stomp. Deny the enemy team kills works wonders.

When it fails or when someone refuses to try this strategy they are usually a rein or an Orisa who try to go in 1 v 5.

No, we totally didn’t know that, totally. Because it matters so much if you go as group or not if other team consists of nothing but freaking T500 players or some sht and we’re Silver at best. Making assumptions since it’s QP, but it feels like that.

It happens. I had a comp game yesterday with 1 close ish round, 1 round where my team got rolled 99-0, and 1 round where the enemy team got rolled 99-0.

So is that the matchmakers fault or did one team just happen to get snowballed for 2 rounds. Guess we never would’ve known if it was qp and one team had leavers.

And you want to cause some other poor player to be pulled from the queue into that game? Why should they also suffer for a game you queued into? You just think about yourself and your own fun.

And no, that player is not always going to be higher MMR and be able to turn around the game. Most of the time that player is going to have just as miserable a time as you. But not being a grown-up you wouldn’t understand that.

So what does “rigged” mean here if you can swap and change the outcome?
Thangs that make you go hmmmmmmm
