I am fine, my step sisters have been keeping me busy. This is my first trip that I came to vist with them, all my vists have been work or vehicle related.
Yesterday they took me to a place called gravity park??? There were alot trampolines. We had fun.

What do you know about Rio Grande High School?
They always seem to have a good wrestling and baseball team, and it is probably the most ghetto school in albuquerque. Highland and west mesa are close competitors.

Do you know anything about the gym situations?
No, not really, I know the gym is kicking my butt today. It’s deadlift day.
La Cueva recently built a new gym dispite Rio Grand having the same gym since the late1950s La Cueva was built in the mid 1980s. There is a dispute on going about preferential treatment by APS to schools out of the South valley. I hear if there is no update on the gym some of the students intend on taking their stories to the media.
Something about $14m bond money promised to rio for a new gym in 2014 and something about a new gym costing $30m. Remember I do not have a horse in this race, it is just what I am hearing in the South valley.

I believe it. Rich/ upper middle class people generally have it easier and are treated better in America (I say this while having upper middle class parents).
I remember a story in either the 80s or 90s la cueva was playing Rio grandes football team. A bunch of la cueva kids threw a bunch of tortillas on the field. The next time they played a bunch of Rio grande kids threw slices of wonderbread on to the field.

Do you think Rio would have the rep it has if APS would send some funds to improve it?
Rio recently got a 9th grade academy but only Rio ninth graders are allowed in there. They think if the gym, which hosts sporting events, was new it would change the way the city looks at the school.

Unfortunately, I think that it will always be considered one of the most ghetto schools in albuquerque. It doesn’t matter if aps spent tons of money trying to improve it. It’s in a bad part of town.
I remember hearing a rap song by a guy named diabolic. He says “I cross the train tracks, and hear an outrcy. Like why is the ghetto always on the south side?”
It’s weird, cause I have visited many cities in my life, and the bad part of town is almost always in the south side of town.
They just want a new gym. Apparently it is tough on the wrestling team because of their poor facilities, the roof leaks, the tennis court is broken and cracked to the point where the coachs spent $2k out of their own pocket to do some repairs, volleyball team is slipping on the court getting hurt.
