Hero bans is one of them, they don’t think about how that would actually mess with match balance, or how it effect those who can’t choose the hero they have the most experience with all in the name of not seeing that hero in their game.
When I see Sombra or D.VA hate topics it all reads. “I want this hero out of MY game!” They act as if people should play the way they deem acceptable.

Exactly, I posted a hero ban idea where the game would only match those to implement in there search will be matched up with players with the same or similar result, and someone went of saying how Sombra can’t be picked or that ban because whatever tank issue they were going on about completely ignoring the fact I said it effect those who uses that feature not those that chooses not to.
Smash did it best by having online ques labelled as “For Glory” or “For fun.”
Everyone learns their own way and one tricking isn’t something that should be frowned on. If i didn’t put all my early hours on Mercy i would have never learned somethings. Like I did with Mei for DPS and Roadhog for tank.
Unfortunately, there are dozens or even hundreds of folks who falsely report other players for otp, or playing character they dont like, or whatever fabricated no-no they come up with
I believe you, which ultimately is why it was so easy for me to walk away from a game i once loved.
