Lots of things were important in the past that are worthless now.
For example, the whole profession of scribes. Needed good handwriting, handling ink and quills, etc., right now that whole profession doesn’t exist.

u dont improve paper now-a-days.
so a small producer of paper isnt profitting well when large factories make it by the tonnes.
