I think it’s for combining the game itself and the viewer. For some reason the beta viewer was a separate download and Jeff said they intend to have the viewer built in on the main client.

It might be just technical changes and nothing skin/gameplay related.

My guess is optimization and making certain gameplay mechanics more easily implimented/patched than they previously where.

Like, maybe the patch will fix the code holding back Shadow step and Teleporter, or fix Hammond/Mei momentum canceling, or will allow crazy new features like dynamic player perspectives and dynamic fluids.

Or maybe that’s a daydream and it’s all just to streamline behind the scenes stuff.

Perhaps the game now records whatever you say and do in game for… research purposes. paranoia intensifies

Please, let there be better framerate at 100% or higher rendering. I am so sick of pixeled images.

Changes in matchmaking or quick game. Jeff said about it couple days ago in an interview

changes to matchmaking would be done on the server end, not the game client.

OT: I’m betting it’s prep work for the in game replay system.

Cant wait for 1 week of dev silence and at the same time insane hype on here so when we finally get the details everyone can rage for a week like they were blindsided and promised things.
