That’s horrific, Post Malone. We should never test this, ever again. Instead, let’s test a mode that encourages our humble yet totally more skilled than everyone else OTPs to safely participate.
I wonder how people will feel about it. I personally like knowing what role I’m going to play when I queue up, but I’m willing to concede something like that for sake of a healthy game. I just won’t play if I’m feeling particularly like only playing one role
That is until someone else selects tank (which simultaneously makes it so that someone more competent at tank is not allowed to select the role) and we still lose. I have a feeling I will get blamed plenty. Ain’t too much change.
Honestly it should have been max of 3, minimum of 1. Max of two is basically no different than current limitation except you don’t get to choose your role.
At least with max of 3 its not as hard to get the role you want.
I’m having a blast myself, but I’m a guy whose favourite characters are kinda spread out among the roles. I also suspect that most people are like yourself, so I think the only existing cards that have to worry about this Limit Two mode are the current OQ QP/Comp ones. My initial impressions are that I’d love to try out this mode as a Comp version, because current OQ Comp is a bit too much of a tank fiesta. Two tanks max, imo. Tri-tank is meh and quad tank is a firm but polite “no”.
I don’t think OTPs have anything to fear from this mode because they’ll just insta-lock their character like usual and be on their way. Which is fine. As long as they don’t order me to switch to characters they want to see, then they’re free to OTP to their heart’s content as far as I’m concerned.
Idk about fixing everything, but the one match I did play of this was very chaotic but not a stomp. My team had the basic one tank two of the others, while the enemy had 2 tanks and 1 support. Was quite close, pushed the cart all the way to third point Gibraltar. The chaos of this strange match up was weirdly nostalgic of overwatch 1!
