Just had a match where my team was hard beating the enemy team. One support went Moira and got infinite value just farming me and the other support on my team. They ended with high elims, low deaths, and near 8k dmg and healing both of which were best in lobby. I’m a silver support. They then said “lmaooooo if you think moira takes no skill youre silly.” All because I called her a no skill crutch. The delusion of these swapwatch stans is insane.

Im sorry but getting farmed by Moira is not something i would complain about online

Illari, kiriko, Ana, bap, zen, brig, lucio, LW, mercy… oops that’s the whole roster… have tools to deal with and/or KILL an opposing Moira.
The only time I struggle with a Moira is when I play lucio and sometimes mercy (but not really, blaster kills WAY faster and if we’re talking about no skill things her blaster is literally just as low skill with character model sized bullets and a 50% faster TTK…)
Any other support and I straight enjoy when Moira pushes me. Ok maybe not on zen. It’s definitely in my favor but if I butter finger a couple shots it’s my head. Hint hint- if I mess up, me, because I know I should win…
When noir flanks you just kill her. Every support kills significantly faster than her. And if you need to burn a cooldown to force her out that’s fine. But she shouldn’t be killing your if you unless you heavily misplay. She’s low skill because she only works on people who fail to do the bare minimum.
Now if you want ADVICE… kiriko, bap, LW, Ana are your best bets. Avoid her as kiriko if you can’t kill her (you absolutely should be able to but if sun is not your suit then escape)
Bap cooldowns are so strong against her that even with bad aim you should be at least forcing her out or again, if your aim is that bad, it’s just a skill issue and Moira is the hero for you too
LW- your needle TTK is actually fantastic and at Moiras usual attack range you should be hitting her easily, + your extra health and 50 Hp dash massively harm her TTK against you and your platform helps you ruin her orb tactics completely. You cannot possibly lose this unless she’s vastly better than you. At bare minimum you can sit on platform until your team bails you out.
Ana- both of your cool downs obliterate been hopes and dreams. If she tracks them and attacks when your empty- she outplayed tf out of you and she’s good. Aim ain’t the only skill. If you miss your nade? That’s hard to do. Your sleep? Well, you had the win button and blew it… I’ll admit it’s feast or famine with Ana but it’s absolutely in your favor and on you to win. You have the advantage with 2 duel winning cool downs, but it’s on you to hit.

TLDR- Moira does take skill like any other hero, hers is entirely in game sense/decision making/maximizing her output and using her longevity to slowly build momentum for her team, placing her throughout in the right fights and knowing when and where to be and how to keep people alive and when to chip for kill confirms.
Her weakness is while she doesn’t REQUIRE aim, she also can’t use it like the rest of the cast to turn the tide of a match- she has to do it with her brain instead of her mechanics. Widow can poink your head off, Moira must find other ways to win against people who are not so bad they lose to the suck

except that I said I was silver support. So ideally I’m playing in a silver game i.e. no/little aim skill, no awareness, bad positioning, etc. Now my aim is decent and I have great awareness but I’m 1 of 5. When I have Winston diving me with Reaper flanking and Moira flying behind us. There isn’t much I can do alone. No she is way too powerful (because of her kit and cooldowns) and should be reworked/nerfed/removed or something. Leaving her as is is just plain out bad. I don’t care though I’ve played my final OW match. Blizzard hates this game and they hate the players obviously so I’ve uninstalled. I’m through with this stupid company.

So what you’re saying is you want to be playing in matches where you have the advantage over the rest of the lobby.
In other words, you didn’t get farmed by Moira, you got farmed by a whole dive comp. Yeah, bad news, dealing with that is gonna be a team effort, and in silver, people aren’t going to necessarily be equipped to handle it. Best of luck to you.

The best type of counter to a Moira playing like this is either:
- Aim - her damage output is consistent but low, virtually anyone else will outdamage her.
Or
- Cooperation - her damage is so low that just asking your second support to heal you will make it impossible for her to kill you.
Granted, in the lower ranks both of these are usually lacking. If you’re a support what you can do is go Moira yourself (Moira v Moira are just endless stalemates) or play Lucio and try to stay out of her reach.

Moira is great at punishing timid DPS. To the point she can get DPS damage numbers while keeping the healing going.
I love that about her.

the issue is simple, the player wouldn’t have done nearly as much value on any other support.
if you aren’t good like plat level, and you don’t pick moira you handicap yourself especially in silver where as example the kiriko gameplay looks like this: helabot. because you cannot hit a single kunai.
i just go next, not thinking moira did something good, i just think i played like mud.
moira won’t ever make me think: wow what a play. all it does is question my own abilities.
only way to lose as moira is by littleraly feeding your brain out engaging with fade against a better player. which is why i don’t play her.

If Winston and Moira both dived you what makes you think Moira was the issue and not your team?
You also say you have decent sun and great awareness… so I take it you ONLY lose to Moira when she dives with her team right?
Because decent aim and great awareness is a strong global counter to the entirety of moira.
I never at any point in playing at any rank felt like I needed someone to save me from moira herself unless I was mercy before I knew that I should shoot back. Moira is that unthreatening. I was low rank once upon a time too. And moira is weaker now than ever before.
It sounds like the true issue is the Winston and Moira coordinating against you. Play with a duo or play a support that can escape a dive. No individual hero will ever defeat a dive (and it should stay that way Lol one hero shouldn’t destroy a whole team playstyle) but kiriko can just leave the dive.

Yea I play a lot of Lucio and also love Brig. Moira gets away with a lot and can really put a ton of pressure on you. I hate having to swap to her when she’s diffing me on my supports

The trade off to Moira is that she does a lot more numerical value over time than any other support (or most characters in general for that matter), but it has a very low ceiling. An Illari or Bap with good aim will do more value in the clutch than a Moira using any of her easy abilities.

i don’t blame my brother for playing her, its littleraly the easiest to perform to a good level, be consistent and not throw by accident. would do the same in a super high scrim because the value is just free if you dont have to carry at all.
