The misnaming of skin tiers in overwatch two

Why is mercy’s stadium all-star skin counted as legendary?

This is a rare (blue) skin at best. Nothing is changed about her base model or silhouette. this “legendary” skin is overwatch 2 default mercy with some green goblin spray paint accents

Same thing for reaper in the new g.i. joe collab. The reaper “legendary” is actually an epic (purple) tier skin just being called a legendary to raise the bundle price

You got it right. It’s all about giving a fake sense of value. This practice is not very common, but it remains a bad practice worth denouncing.

The All-Star skins are probably just legendary to make them feel more coveted because of the rank you’ll have to chase. The other Stadium skins you can earn (i.e the Soldier one last season or the 3 role-based ones) are all Epic (purple) tier and look just about the same.

Yeah, I got it and tried it on and it’s just meh. I think the Stadium All-Star skins are so plain because FOMO is only okay when it’s paid skins/content. Can’t have skill-based FOMO.

I think the elite and rookie skins look really cool, and pro, novice and contender might too if they got any representation.

The color schemes for All-Star (silver/green/orange) and Legend (silver/purple/red) just don’t lend themselves as well to a unique skin color. It’s too busy.

Pepperidge Farms remembers Mei-rry skin making people mad.

Yeah… The color scheme for All-Star is pretty bad.
