When can we expect something to be done about how awful the matchmaker is.
Just another 3 games today. One completely in my favour that I didn’t die in, then 2 more that were completely one sided in the other direction where there was no hope for a win no matter what you did. It must be 1 out of 10 games that I get that are actually balanced.
Is it corporate making it be this bad? A lack of network engineering talent? What is it?
Fix it.
I would not hold your breath. First of all, they are proud of their matchmaker. I wouldn’t say it is completely undeserved either. Just for reasons that are often overlooked because most extreme perspectives miss the mark.
Technically. Their goal is to maximize engagement which helps produce revenue.
The best way to “fix” it overall is to have a more populated pool of players. They are definitely trying on that front. This game is more of a party game than a competitive shooter these days and it has increased our playerbase.
Because there isn’t enough players to create a balanced pool for matchmaking? Literally, the only people you have to play with are the ones that just happen to be queuing at the same time as you, which are people at the very ends of the skill spectrum. There is no in-between.
In 20 games i’ve won 6. If matchmaker was working the game would be putting me into easier games until my win rate is closer to 50%, since that hasn’t happened it’s clear it isn’t working.
