In order to earn an additional lootbox, you have to get roughly 50 to 60 duplicates.
I’m getting 3 duplicates per box on average.
That’s 17 boxes full of duplicates for 1 “free” lootbox, which will also have duplicates.
At least make the free box a golden one with a guaranteed legendary skin.
its in another thread but i started getting duplicate blues and the bar is filling very fast now. i did 3/4ths of the little circle in 3 boxes once the blue dupes started showing up
That’s nice. If blue duplicates are worth more points, that’s definitely better.
But still, it’s a lot of duplicates for 1 free ordinary box. The ordinary box is not worth it.
It’s like punishing those who grinded the game for so long or invested a lot of money, while the normal f2p players get all the good stuff regularly in each box they open.
If they give a golden box instead of an ordinary one, they make grinding the game more worth it.
It’s not a legendary but I doubt many know that there’s also a guaranteed epic every 5 boxes…so I wouldn’t call it worthless
You barely get anything new every week, and the compensation is an ordinary box that will most likely give you nothing or will be a +1 on your way to the 20th box.
I don’t think they reward veterans and whales properly in this regard.
You have more skins than newer players, thus increasing your odds of getting a store skin.
I think every legendary I got has been a store item. Oh, I think I did get a base Illari skin(as I bought the other color one when she released)
And my first lego was a weapon skin for reaper. I don’t feel like I’d be this lucky on a newer account with much less wiggle room. But then I’d “need” more so I wouldn’t care either probably. It would still just be “new is good, but I hope I want to use it at least”
Newer accounts just plain are not getting dupes yet. That is a whale/legacy benefit.
