For one thing, almost every game he plays, someone on his team is toxic… and despite what the saintly support/tank mains on this forum who are literally doing the world a giant favor by playing support/tanks in overwatch love to claim, it’s NOT the dps being toxic that’s the problem.
I’ve watched 21 of his games so far. And out of all the ones where toxicity occurs on his team, it’s been a tank or support player every time. Lots of times, it is one of them blaming the dps for them losing (yes, golds blaming a top 500 dps main for costing them the game, lmao). In NONE of the games, has any of the dps (stevo or his dps teammate) been toxic at all, even when the tanks/supports continually attack them for being bad.
The other big problem is that a top 500 sym struggling mightily to win games in gold… his record was 17-5 after 21 games, but like 5 of his wins came right down to the wire, where it could VERY easily have been losses. It’s ridiculous how hard it is to carry if you have a bad team nowadays. A lot of that is due to all of the shields and cc and burst healing. Like if you are carrying your team, you can still pretty much get shut down by players much worse than you with their stuns like what kept happening to stevoo
This “toxic” dps here likes to point to the throwing tanks and healer while they are in the self-imposed delusion of doing their job while actually pseudo-inting/throwing. Have seen enough of them to realize some of them are just a total lost cause.
Also, the reflections aside, bronze to gm is despicable, even unethical, as it distrupts the games they are in.
The important thing to note is that this is not role specific. I get mostly tanks and supports hurling toxicity my way too, but that is because I am a dps main. I am half as likely to see it from my own role because I am only toxic (on mic) when provoked and twice as likely to see it from the other roles.
If I was a support, same scenario. Half as likely to see a toxic support and twice as likely to see a toxic tank/dps. Etc.
Toxic players are toxic. Not tanks. Not supports. And not dps. Just toxic players.
I don’t like Stevo, I was just using him to make the 2 points I discussed.
But apparently I am “toxic” for pointing out that tanks and supports are often toxic. lol. Sorry, you guys are gods and can do no wrong, please forgive me
He’s also a onetrick. What makes you think tanks want to play around sym on every map, every game to begin with? He needs a ban, and it is deplorable that Blizzard allows this Bronze to GM bs. They’re sending a very bad message.
They need to make an example of streamers that do this. Banning a washed up streamer like Stevo is enough to send a message. Just ban one!
No he is toxic (and I would have reported him if I had seen him in my game) because a bronze to GM run basically highlights how he is a selfish and horrible person not worthy of the respect of anyone.
Let us not ignore the possibility that these, “Tanks or Supports,” could actually be impatient DPS players queuing these roles to bypass the wait times, bringing their poor behavior with them…
It’s stupid to associate toxicity to a role in the game, playing tank doesn’t make you a narcissistc imbecil, neither does playing DPS or support. Stop with these type of posts, you’re not teaching anyone any lesson.
I actually think that is a lot of it, and besides, one streamer for a set of games doesn’t prove much to be honest. The way the game is however I don’t blame tanks for being toxic… I’ve seen as one character played be the most toxic… Ana… by far, all of them for some reason think they are good just for playing Ana… similar to OWL gear encrusted Tracer mains…
