Is simply insane. So many people would rather blame a rigged matchmaker, cheaters, teammates, some bs about the game itself making them miss, etc. than their own faults.
It’s just wild to me. The first step to getting better is acknowledging your own skill issues. Ever wondered why it’s never good players complaining about things holding them back? It’s always the hardstuck Golds complaining about problems that simply don’t exist. Maybe you wouldn’t be hardstuck if you just acknowledged that you are the problem.
But since the implementation of losers queue I’ll be the first to say Matchmakers a bit squiffed atm. I’ve never had a season where I’ve been up and down like a prozzie’s pants as much as I have this season.
I’m usually quite happy to defend the matchmaker but atm no it’s not right.
What the devs said is that they’ll put players on a losing streak on the team statistically favored to win. What a lot of people are missing is that the devs also said their own system isn’t reliable for determining the outcome of a game, only having around 50% accuracy.
Every game has a team statistically favored to win. That’s always existed and it doesn’t mean anything.
Perhaps not the most diplomatically worded post, but he’s right. The only thing that is consistent in every match is you. And while bad teammates, bad matchmaking, and cheating all do happen those are all outside of your control.
The only variable you can control in order to climb, if that’s your goal, is yourself. So focusing on your own performance is the most helpful thing that you can do in order to rank up. It’s actually the only thing that you can do. Blaming other things doesn’t help you.
Its funny cuz recently KarQ dropped from GM to diamond on purpose. He readily said he was tired of grinding, tired of always having to make the correct swap, tired of the stress, tired of the comms, tired of all of it.
So, he subsequently fell to diamond after “giving up,” but readily admitted he had way more fun falling in rank than trying to stay at GM.
…
But people getting hardstuck is outside their control. Okie dokie
Btw, saying that the higher ranks are messed up right now isn’t coping, as it was acknowledged by the devs to be a legitimate problem that they’re working to fix. So if that was a complaint you were referring to, I’ll just tell you now that it’s actually valid and not fair to use as an argument
I would be inclined to believe this like a year ago.
One thing’s certain for sure. Its getting harder and harder each day finding good teammates. These days I’m just accepting I’m probably at my limit and pray to have a decent team every match.
It’s starting to become so predictable in such a haunting sense. You’d think that logically it would be easier to overvome and control.
But that’s just it. The issues I’m facing are exactly the ones I cannot control. There in lies the actual frustration. You cqn provide all the teamwork and skill you have and even then. It takes one to ruin it.
I could be playing my guts out forcing opponents to swap all day long. Yet I cannot sustain for two. I cannot tank and peel at the same time. I simply cannot provide teamwide dps that is needed to win matches.
No matter how hard I try. Therefore I find peace in knowing the truth and accepting my fate every match if it comes down to it.
The real accountability is players accepting the consequences of their own actions and inconsideration.
We play together. And if you want to play alone, well…this game was neither designed for that nor will you ever play a match in a single player sense unless you set up your own bot matches. That is the reality.
I used to blame others, then I stopped and things got better. Then I would just blame myself, but I stopped doing that also, and things got even better.
Now it’s at the point that when I tell friends I’m practicing strategy, or aim, etc… I’m told “it’s a waste of time”.
The crab in a bucket mentality seems alive and well lol
Probabpy the most peaceful for veterans to experience.
The next one is like a sage like mentality where you can decipher the game and the various natures.
Then it starts to become haunting. Because you know. And you know how to react to it. Therefore it drives a screw in your mind that that is the reality.
Don’t waste your time, this forum is mostly plagued by high elo players who have been playing the game for too many years and too many years in this forum, for them everything is perfect and Blizz is the best video game company in the world.
Seriously, don’t try it, there is a serious problem of understanding between the average population of this game (Bronze - Diamond) and the high elo players (Master - GM) the feeling of the game differs greatly in these cases, which precisely generates threads like this.
Any complaint from an average player will be immediately dismissed and ridiculed by a high elo player and the best advice you will receive on this site will always be: Git gud!!!
Genuinely VERY entertaining lmao I’ll give you that
However, Metro isn’t complaining about the game keeping him at any rank. He’s complaining about an individual game here. Everyone gets tilted eventually, and moments like this aren’t exactly uncommon. But there’s a difference. Being tilted after a single stressful game and trying to claim you’re hardstuck due to factors completely out of your control are different.
