The invite could not be sent due to an internal problem (5001)

Hey hey!

Do you have alot of pending requests at the moment?
If you do, then there is a chance that’s the issue. Try cancelling a few and see if that’ll fix it.

Try following these steps:

  1. Open the Blizzard Battle net application
  2. Open the friends list window
  3. Click the settings cogwheel icon
  4. Choose “View Sent Friend Requests”
  5. Cancel pending friend requests

i have no friend request pending, it wont let me add anyone without it saying there is an issue.
