If itās as constant as you say it is, perhaps youāre provoking it somehow. The majority of players donāt care about that sort of thing. And itās pretty common in this day and age for people to perceive bigotry and oppression where it doesnāt exist.
Mute,Block,Report, and move on we really didnāt need to hear about this when you have every tool needed to deal with people being a nuisance to your gaming.
Letās cut the crap with this. I agree that the mute, block and report button exist for a reason. But Iāve seen firsthand how all it takes f or someone on your team to be insulting is someone sounding like a young child, gay, black, etc.
People act like weāre playing some fantasy utopia game where we all live in harmony and that could never happen here.
Not saying itās ok, or right, or even remotely acceptable to bash someone for their voice or sexuality; but this is the Internet. People suck, especially when there is little to no repercussions for them spewing toxicity.
Mute, report, and move on with your day. It shouldnāt be the solution, but itās all you can do. Donāt let it get to you, strangers donāt actually know you and are just looking for someone to blame.
Absolutely. Thereās a certain accent (often called a ālispā although itās not really exactly that) which is common among men in the gay community but rarely if ever used by anyone who is straight.
Of course, there are also plenty of gay men who donāt speak this way, so itās also possible to not sound gay even if you are. However, itās a reliable indicator that if someone does affect that accent that they very likely are gay.
You tell that to the old hag that spewed a bunch of transphobic abuse to my face while I was doing nothing more than waiting for my mother while she was being served in a shop. People around. On camera.
The anonymity of the internet makes people so much braver with this, so donāt pretend itās not happening.
