The hitbox changes are infuriating

What i loved about Overwatch was that it was pretty tight technically speaking, i used to get mad at how Kirikos Ponytail that curves above her head was not hitbox vs while Ashe & Cassidys hat was hitbox making their head size bigger then normal, now i wish i could be complaining about just that, now the correct way to shoot a rein is to shoot above its head so you certainly wont hit his shoulders when he swings.

I get mad when i get someone while it should’ve been a miss because i can feel the same happening to me too. This is to help casuals ? The only people that really get punished for it are casuals, i can just learn the new effective size of the hitboxes and shoot air knowing it will be head, many match i get the message [How did you get me there ?] as they hide behind cover and i just shoot the air above their head knowing it will land. How is this better for us ?

I had some friends come over from RS6, they are new, they are the casuals, and they’ve been complaining about getting got in situations where they should have not been got. At first i thought its just gamer rage and they are just being bad, but i went into replay to watch one such situation and i can see what they were talking about and i told them about what is happening. About the hitbox situation were having.

I dont want to hit more just to be killed more. I dont enjoy getting kills in a system that i know is not tight and i dont enjoy being killed in unfair ways. I had no problem with aiming before and neither did other people because the game gives you options via characters to circumvent that problem. WE DIDNT NEED THIS. In fact i noticed a huge increase in Q times ever since the update. This update combined with networking differences between players and you can get pretty wild head shots on tracers. I dont think i need to explain what such shot looks like.

This has to be one of the biggest Overwatch update Ls

I have really bad aim, but the hitbox update has made the game even worse for me.
Purely for similar reasons as your friends, i’m getting hit more than i should be.
Strafing and crouching to avoid bullets doesn’t help anymore.

Unfortunately there’s 0 chance they revert other than some minor adjustments here and there. The further we get away from OW1 the more screwed up it becomes they deleted it.

The hitbox changes are one of the biggest Ws in Overwatch patch history (along with the health increases)

Projectile hitbox and HP changes were the worst thing they ever did. Even worse than 5v5.

You can’t tell me that this is good game design, where the visual representations don’t match the hitbox your actions come in contact with and equally you judge your own actions off of, if i take cover and it looks like my body is in cover, then it should be in cover, the only excuse is networking differences, taking cover but on the enemy screen i look as if i was still out there, that’s fair. Similarly with projectiles / bullets of any kind. If it looks like a pebble you shoot, then its hitbox shouldn’t be the size of a rocket.

So no, untangling the technical foundations of the game is not a W… Its the foundation of All games. Imagine if CS had such an update… IF any shooter had such an update, if any game at all where hitting and being hit is the very basis of the game. You cant rely on common sense at that point.
