The Hardest Support to Play and Why?

Lucio because tho it may seems easy in lower rank to just keep the aura and manage ult timing; in higher rank it’s extremely difficult to maintain your rollout on the walls and hit most of your shot to maximize your dmg output.

Its Ashe

her supportive BOB takes too long to come to do something

Probably Baptiste in complexity, Mercy in game sense, Ana in mechanical skill.

It depends on your skillset. For some, myself included, Mercy is genuinely the hardest to play. I have more traditional FPS skills which makes Baptiste the easiest for me and I have a feeling he is actually the hardest for most support mains… No offense intended.

I think Ana and Zen are by far the hardest. You have no mobility or strong self heal or self barrier to save you. You either land your shots or you die.

I think Baptiste because he’s supposed to compete with Ana in terms of skill ceiling but his self sustain/mini ult has way, way longer cooldowns and he doesn’t start competing with Ana in winrate until gm and still isn’t at the same level.

Very unforgiving to play these supports. I agree. In plat and even in QP I have more success playing Lucio or Baptiste

Would i be crucified for saying brig?

Before yeah she was a monster. Now she’s laughably weak. Even in GOATs she was the weak link if you ask me being nothing more then an Armor dispenser. When she’s attacking she cant block and is just as easy to kill as any other 200hp hero. If she’s not attacking her healing passive isnt being active. Yeah her kit is simple to use but with all the nerfs she’s gotten she’s very weak. I dont play her much if at all probably my 4th or 5th most played support and I even dont like her having her on my team now. Anyone with half a brain can kill her no problem.

I always thought his immortality is suppose to be super easy to abuse in lower rank and win games simply because people won’t kill it. Hmm… weird.

I’d say it doesn’t matter. I literally do not remember the last time I was properly jumped by a 4 man dive team because it’s been literal years, and you don’t know how hard something is until you face that sort of pressure.

Grenade is just as powerful in all ranks, though, and on top of that they both suffer from teammate los positioning in all ranks. So after diamond is when you see both Ana and Baptiste rates turn positive, but only in GM do you see Baptiste winrate/pickrate approach Ana though it never actually competes at the same level in any rank (tho at gm it gets close).

Baptiste

His gun requires the most aim and his kit is slightly more complicated than Ana’s. Though I’d say Lucio, Baptiste and Ana are very close overall once you get used to them.

Way too open ended question. Lucio, for instance, has easily the lowest skill floor in the game. He is the only character that can actually contribute while AFK.

However, he happens to have an interesting skillset that also gives him among the highest skill ceilings in the game.

That doesnt make him a hard hero to play though. You are just able to continually squeeze more performance out of him using skill, and he can become a high performance machine in the right hands.

Ana has the highest skill floor among supports, because of aim, ammo management, mobility and toolkit. Her skill ceiling can be really high because she can always pump out offense along with her normal duties.

Mercy is overall pretty easy with GA mobility and triage being her basic skills.

Brig used to be easymode, but not so much any more with her PTR aurvival.

Moira is low floor, low ceiling, just not complex enough that skill can make her shine beyond a certain point.

Baptiste can be very tricky, but quite powerful.

Zen is mostly middle of the road.

I would say it breaks down like this, ranked hardest to easiest.

Low end Overwatch

Baptiste
Ana
PTR Brigitte
Zen
Mercy
Moira
Lucio

Beyond low end

Baptiste
Ana
PTR Brigitte
Lucio
Zen
Mercy
Moira

What does low end mean sorry

Roadhog because no one appreciates all the healing I’m doing.

Soldier 76 because nobody appreciates his E. 1 like = 1 pray

I think it depends on how you define hard.

  • Lucio because his wall riding has a really high skill ceiling.
  • Ana because of her aim reliance and sleep dart isn’t easy to hit.
  • Mercy because she’s constantly hunted and having to bounce around from target to target with that 50hps heal beam.
  • Baptist because he has a lot going on and has an interesting timing with his gun.
  • Zen because of his fat hitbox, and juggling your orbs. You have to have great positioning because you can’t run.
  • Brig because of the emotional toil of being nerfed every patch.

So, it depends.

In my experience, from the hardest support to easiest support (this experience can be different to other people):

  1. Ana (def the hardest)
  2. Zenyatta
  3. Baptiste
  4. Lúcio
  5. Mercy
  6. Moira
  7. Brigitte

Hard question to answer. You could say zen as if your jumped then your probably dead… but not if u can react aim or have a good team.

Brig is probably in the worst position on ptr… I think she needs something.

Mercy… again if you know how to escape… your fine

Ana requires aim and if you can aim you can sleep dart

Lucio just stay alive…

Moira just easy.

Im going to say Baptiste… immortality field is important you need to be reading ults throughout game. You need to be hot on your mic…

I’ve been on teams where Soldier was our main healer. The whole team huddling on his E was a spectacle to behold.
