The devs were right when they initially thought of 1-3-2 to combat double shield/ queue times
more dps is great for shield break, combating Sigma the worst designed hero of all time. Wrecking ball would be less of a throw pick with 3 dps, tanks would actually be killable with another dps. Supports wouldn’t be able to afk in the backline and farm S tier ultimate’s for free.
I fail to see what could go wrong if Ball plays into a Bastion, Sombra and McCree lineup
So the funny part is that tanks would need to be even stronger. You’d have giga-mega-tanks. Imagine peak S8 Mauga but with his current 100% lifesteal on cardiac and current stomp damage.
Imagine a Sigma that’s stronger than what he already is being backed up by a Bastion, Sym, Torb, Baptiste and Brig lineup.
They wouldn’t be playing the game at all. You think some poor Mercy player is interested in Tracer, Sombra and Genji all jumping her at the same time all of the time?
You’d kill the game instantly lmao. Not only would you have barely any tank players but barely any support players as well.
Ball with 3 dps to help him would be more viable attacking from more angles, AND there wouldn’t be broken tank synergy which makes ball useless in 6v6 2-2-2
Nah, Brig was only a symptom of the real issue, which was Blizzard’s refusal to nerf hyper-mobility.
She caused RQ and 5v5, but she was caused by dive.
Then ruined it with these.
Point-and-click adventure games from complete safety are not the pinnacle of skill.
Mauga is nothing but a point-and-click adventure game, but he is far harder than Sojourn. Both of which however broke the game.
I don’t think he’d need any buffs. Even 6v6 sigma would function in 1-3-2 without s9 changes.
But… Every other tank would have to be brought up to sigmas level. Maybe not doom or zarya? Basically you’re just making tanks into slightly more durable dps. You don’t really play them like a tank you’d just play them like you’d play any dps.

Shame that neither this or MR are traditional shooter games. They’re MOBA-FPS/3PS hybrids. Symmetra’s inherently weak design and Spider-Man’s ridiculously convoluted design both have 10x the risks and require 10x the effort than Hela or Sojourn instakilling either of them from across the other side of the map or even if they successfully close the distance.
