Not once have I been matched against someone I avoided but so many times I get matched against someone who just carried their team against me and who I just lost to. Like make it make sense

he’s saying you aren’t the only one with avoid slots. He’s implying people have avoided you and are now farming you on the other side. It’s also possible you were a bad team mate and you avoiding them was a blessing for them and now they performing much better on the other side because they have good team mates.

So then op’s point still stands how come he can’t ever play against his avoids if other people can?

I have the same issue. If it’s a toxic avoid I might have to play against them but if its the worst player I ever saw in my life and literal free sr then no chance.

The game doesn’t care if you win or lose. It has no emotional connection to anyone.

When you avoid someone it should allow you to play against them the next match. The stupid matchmaker thinks we’re all at the same tier, right? So it shouldn’t have an issue letting us play against that player we avoided in the next match.

…but it won’t do that because it knows that although you’re at relatively the same tier, the skill difference is massive, which is broken since people at the same tier should have the relatively same skill.

To simplify what I’m saying, the matchmaker is steaming hot garbage made by weekend warrior woke folk.

The Purpose of ‘Avoid as Teammate’ is to do just that. If you get a toxic person ruining your gaming experience this will try and stop you having to suffer them again.

Sounds like you are trying to use it to manipulate your games I.e. you think if you avoid all the (in your view) rubbish players, not only will they not be on your team but you will also have a better chance of playing against them.
