The game is a dice roll

Unfortunately every time you que its a matter of luck who you get and what their preferences and mood is. Season 10 is by far the worst yet.

So you’re saying you have zero impact on the outcome of your games?

I believe he is, and that implies that he needs to roll the dice and get himself a team that can carry him to win.

Youre saying I can solo carry then? WHat are you implying bro

Or carry well enough that you dont win all of your games but you win more often than you lose.

I’m implying that you need to take responsibility for your impact on the games and work to increase that impact.

Not hoping to get a team that’s able to carry you.

IM healing if nothing is being killed not my fault bruh

And what happens if you were to stay back and not heal anyone ever?

dnno bruh you tell me

Well youd probably be losing games much more often right?

The thing is i have a responsibility as healer sure but other than that if people arent doing well in their roles i cant do much abt it

No, but what you can do is go the opposite way, and get better at healing so that you are keeping people alive more often. Giving them more opportunities to do their job. You have an effect on the game, thats pretty obvious by the fact that if you did nothing at all you’d start to lose a lot more. It follows that the better you preform regardless of what role the higher your winrate will be. Maybe certain classes can have less of an impact than others, but you have more control over the outcome of your games than you think you do. You just have to keep trying and getting better at whatever your job is.

I understand that but if people over extend and just dont perform well i can only heal as much, while im trying to get better there are externalities in the game out of my control that severely affect win/loss ratio.

Like i said, you cant expect to hard carry every game and win 100% of the time, you just need to preform well enough that you’re winning 6/10 of your games instead of 5/10. Understand? You cant win every game, sometimes you are going to get teams that are going to cause you to lose. you can only control yourself and your play, so if you keep saving those extra few lives every game, you’re going to start to win more.

I do take responsibility but that isnt enough, and when did i say i want a team to carry me?

Agree.
One account I go on a tear and go 6-0 on placements and then lose 2 close ones and draw one, and win the last. So 7-1-2.

The other account 0-4, nothing but throwers. One game had a widow that did nothing but die 9 times. No kills on the killfeed.

Or I end up in a team with 5 mercy mains then what? I understand what youre saying and I agree, I take my responsibility and I know my performance is one of MANY factors that affect the outcome of the game but thats just not enough.

It is, the chanced that you get 5 mercy mains is extremely low, so that’s not a good argument. I agree that sometimes you do not have the ability to win a game, but unfortunately your performance is the only factor that you have control over and you have more control than you think you do. There are people that complain about the amount of healer mains in GM because there are a lot. You can do it, just improve your game and the SR will follow.
