It can always get worse. Let’s see how it will work with self-healing passive.
not have south america lol
wonder how it will turn out but one thing about the e-sports of overwatch is that it always confuses me. i read that blog just now and im more confused on the brackets and how they construct/formulate games or players.
seems complicated and yea i wouldnt even know where to watch it and i read the blog… so im sure they might not get many views since the average player doesnt care about esports?
Not that I’ll partake. But what’s the incentive for players to partake? I see a lot of info on format and all that. But is there anything you get for winning/partaking in the long run? Or is this just OWL without pay?
Why are certain regions not included here?
OWCS competition is only offered in regions with current ongoing support for the Overwatch 2 Live Service.
OCE servers exist, the game has full ongoing support in Australia - but Australia is excluded?
What you think you need to get paid to play amongst highly competitive players around the world? You should be thrilled to give up a lot to do that sort of thing.
I mean if you want to call it a sport. Normally the “athletes” get paid right? or are we acting like this is the Olympics and it’s an honor to partake?
What if instead of wasting resources on esports (again) you focus on improving the actual game?
Poor South America
Would love to see some console players included. Nobody with legit experience on both platforms thinks less of console. It’s a huge portion of the player base. Those that are most outspoken about it would likely get wrecked by their console counterparts.
Lowkey exited for this new format like genuinley
While I dont want OW to be or have an e-sports program for reasons of the past…
… but I think this looks much more stable, than what Bobby tried to do. As long as the players have fun and we have fun watching it, I dont care about the rest.
Good luck… you will need it.
Insert “aw hell nah” meme
Quoted for emphasis.
Yeah I’m a bit more hopeful. Although I’m still salty as hell with what happened with OWL and how it was mismanged to attrocious levels, like you said this looks more stable.
I’m taking this as a wipe the slate clean and start over approach, and it seems more promising and looking forward to see how it goes. It’s pointless me saying anything negative about this before it’s even started. There’s gonna be people already saying it’s a waste of resources when we don’t even have a clue with what’s happening in the background. I’m just going to wait and see.
top level controller players could not compete with top level pc players that’s just the reality of it
It will b interesting to see how all the former owl players move on to this format, which former teamates they decide to play with, which region theyl play in
This is good.
The future is bright.
I miss the old Twitch premium pass features.
They use all of that tech for Apex Legends esports now and it’s so good.
OWL’s corpse is still hot and the bros already thinking of how to make more money out of it.
how about investing some resources in making a good game first?
