Story is; I made a thread stating my opinion and how I rationalized something I saw on the forums at the moment using an analogy, there was no offensive language, no slander, no calling anyone out. Someone who I assume (I could be wrong but they had the profile pic) is a part of a group of people who main a certain hero called it inappropriate and rude. I knew that they were trying to find a reason to flag so I explained that my intentions were not to be disrespectful or hurtful.
This difference of opinion turned into them and/or this group of people trying to silence my opinion which was based on factual observations and explained in a nice analogy. So now my forum privileges are at stake because someone didn’t like what I said.
This is probably why the dislike button was removed. People abuse the flagging system like a lot (not all) of people abused the dislike button, which is to silence opinions that opposed their own. This group of people has a large presence on the forums so the flagging was not a surprise but it was certainly unjustified. I hope the person who reviews my thread looks at everything and understands that I was clearly not trying to put anyone down, hurt feelings, or troll. I was stating what I saw and what the most probable reason for it was. If someone twisted it to sound derogatory then that was not my intention. I wish we could post on here without the fear of certain groups flagging our posts due to it going against what they think about their main.
I usually joke around on here and when I’m trying to be serious, yet nicer and more respectful than I have been in the past, it’s so stressful because of things like this. We can disagree and coexist.

They tried to d.va-bomb the forums last time they got “nerfed” (buffed) last time too. Bad players just don’t understand enough to realize this was a justified nerf.
Also it might have been too little, imo.
You made a thread in wich you basically said D.va mains are cry babies that got their candy taken away…

If you mean the D.Va thing it did read like it was an attack on D.Va players personally so I can imagine how that went. I don’t have a horse in that race but if it was someone i mained and was written like that I’d jump on it too.
How was it well deserved, what was false about It? Has D.va not received compensation for nerfs up until this point? If you were given something and all of a sudden it stopped, wouldn’t you be upset? That’s all I was pointing out, nothing too harsh, not deserving of a flag.
While good intentions and I agree with you, I know from personal experience you actually can’t post about this here. You’re talking about a post that has been removed I assume, which is against the tos, so just giving you a heads up Blizzard may suspend you for breaking that rule, regardless of your intention.
Its rough and hard to deal with, so just giving you a heads up about the tos and how they work. Hope that works out for you though, and I’ve learned to just go straight to CS and Support Tickets instead of complaining about things on the forms. Works out better, + no risk of banning.
I will say though, sometimes CS doesnt… read… the… tickets… am I allowed to mention that as a form of feedback? Make sure their response is reasonable and it seems like they did read your ticket, if they didnt, which is usually obvious if they didnt, resend the ticket again and point out they didnt read it the first time. It works the 2nd or 3rd time if this happens to me, and eventually i get legit replies and sometimes changes made that were supposedly “not able to be done” on the unread ticket replies.
/shrug.
I dont think im breaking the tos myself by just saying the responses are a bit tedious sometimes, but if i am someone lemme know and ill revoke this comment, i just wanna make people aware.
How can you claim to be falsely flagged when your topic is an entire paragraph massively belittling a group of people? Not only that, but you went after one of the biggest groups of people on the forums! How can that not be anything else other than Trolling (specifically as defined in the code of conduct as Creating threads for the sole purpose of causing unrest on the forums)
Yo, I’m mostly worried about the accurate analogy, it makes sense and the whining that it caused sort of validates the snack food used in it…multiple layers…multilayered analogy… excuse me, I need to reflect.
Ah I see, if you were flagged though and didn’t use any tos breaking stuff and was just negatively opinionated on something, if you are flagged you should be fine, or the post will just be silently removed if theres too much negativity and you wont be banned. If too many users go off topic they will also remove the post instead of the individual users so keep an eye for that, and double check if you’re allowed to re-open the discussion in a new post via support ticket just to be safe, because sometimes reposting topics that have been 404ed breaks the tos unless its allowed.
