That’s what we all want
Almost as if the game is making it hard on healers who focus on healing instead of defending themselves by removing most of the CC from the backline therefore making flankers miserable to deal with.
This may be the case, which really causes me to contemplate for a moment and say let’s wait it out though, because if you nerf her headshot damage on a feeling then it turns out she can’t take a fight at all and it has to be reverted and you know… let’s just face it, Blizzard is not known for tweaking numbers in an appropriate amount in the appropriate direction.
Give it a little time before we knee-jerk nerf on something that may end up not being so bad. I really feel that in the end as people gain more experience, you’ll see Kiriko playing in with her team rather than back at all, which really gives less opportunities for flankers to go 1v1 with her anyway.
And I feel that we’ll see more Kiriko’s playing in with their teams due to being able to hit herself along with all of her teammates with protection suzu that way and due to the nature of her ult. So far it seems the best way to utilize it is to use it and then press W as a team and not stop until the buff is gone. It comes off pretty intimidating when you use it that way really. Combine it with rally and you’re moving at like mach 5 lol.
I believe the right way to play this team game is by focusing on your individual impact. That’s the stated design goal. They should remove healing from supports so they stop getting flamed for using their agency to only DPS.
On the other hand her non headshot damage is absurdly low.
She’s a high skill hero with high risk/reward gameplay.
you cant remove supports’ damage without loading their kits up with cc otherwise they will just be cannon fodder to enemy flankers. its clear that you’re upset bc moira used her 50 dps tickle beam to kill you on genji (that takes 4 seconds btw) before you could kill her, but news flash, that is low damage. the lowest in the game in fact. git gud.
players like op so quick to blame supprts for dpsing moira needs to, to recharge her heals quicker ,
dps and tanks need to stop running around all over map we cant heal if noone stays together, i will play bap, lucio, etc but as soon as i get into a game and see my teeam allover map 1v1 and feeding im swapping to moira everytime ,
i think supports should go on a heal strike until players learn to stay together as a team instead of feeding and going 1v1-5 all match ,
im talking to you tanks that think you are invincible and run off and leave the team to fend for themselfs , and dps that go running around corners and all over map so we cvannot possibly heal , then we get flanked and supprt dies , rinse repeat
OW is a team game , staying together as a team wins matches . im sick of seeing threads about supports that dont heal , protect your supports and stay together as team u might find things go a lot better during matches ,
Just chatting here Juliusz…
Soooo many DPS players wanted OW2 to give them “agency” and “carry potential” with less reliance on supports.
They got exactly that.
Tanks were turned into DPS “brawlers”.
The new Support (Kiriko) is a strong DPS in her own right.
Bap, Ana, Moira, Zen, etc., can all out DPS many DPS players (the scoreboard doesn’t lie).
And the only “pure” healer (Mercy), some people complain about being on their team because she doesn’t offer enough DPS.
See the trend? It’s a DPS game now, for better or worse.
Not to mention, the battle pass asks people to queue for roles they may not “want” to play, but they do so, and pick the character in that role (support) that best suits their play-style. So the DPS, plays as a DPS as they go for those 10 wins.
Not to mention, just like OW1, many dps players skirt long-ish queue times by queueing as a support and playing as a dps.
And lastly, many supports have just been abandoned by their team in a match to fend for themselves. So at a certain point, they just take care of themselves and let everyone else worry about themselves. The irony for many supports is that many of their dps teammates ignore them completely, until they start spamming “I need healing”. To which they receive no sympathy.
So it’s just the nature of the beast that is OW2.
Sounds like you are volunteering to play support. Lead by example. Show us how it’s done.
Which is very useful. Especially for me as a tank player. Now I can actually see if my healers do anything or not. Seeing my Ana having 800 heal yet 1000 damage 5 minutes into the game is not a pleasant thing to see though really.
The Moira issue has been a problem since she was first introduced. Having her ability to heal tied to doing DPS means Moira has to do DPS. But then people get tunnel vision and can’t balance doing DPS and healing.
They are not healers though they are support them not using their full kit is just a bad team mate problem. Queue with ppl you trust.
Those who kvetch about not getting enough heals are nearly universally those who die because of positioning. Either not using cover, or not paying attention to where attacks could be coming from, or overextending, getting themselves out of LOS of their supports, or trying to “hero” their way into outnumbered attacks.
In other words, if you aren’t contributing to your own survival, why should anyone else?
I’m pretty sure you can. All they need to do is punish the dps healer. If the damage is too high and the healing is too low, well, thats probably worth some punishment if reported
Not really like it or not a support choosing to dps more than heal is their own perogative as long as they are trying to win.
Lol
Zen’s healing should be treated like disc priest in WoW. His healing orb should have more output with his damage.
If they are letting the team die because they think queue for support is quicker to dps, than they are not trying to win.
Its also an issue with new players that have been fed this “info” that you need to damage on support or you will not climb or whatever. Alot of these players are here after watching youtube videos on how you have to contribute damage and shoot and not healbot and just took it on face value.
