The doomers were right about OW2

man you were on your way out already, just give up and leave, how many times do you need devs to show you they don’t care about your one sided, subjective and dramatic take? you might not enjoy the game now but there’s a lot of people who do, geez

We still hate 5v5, but we also warned about the game being unfinished during the first “beta”.
Unfortunately, everyone told us the mountain of issues would be fixed by release time.

But to be fair, between alpha and release, they invented new issues. We did not predict that.

I don’t remember the Mei wall being broken or high noon being able to miss.

From my experience tanks are roughly old support queue times if not slightly worse, with dps being faster than old support queue times or about even and then support being instant like old tank queue times. Queue flex in ow1 you literally always got tank and maybe 1/15 times you got support and 1/50 times you got dps. Queue flex in ow2 it’s like 6/10 support 3/10 dps and 1/10 tank.

mei wall was broken at least in beta 2.

There has never, ever been a time on OW1, EVER, under any circumstance, in RQ, where thw queues were instant for Support. You are the one clearly lying dude.

Oh I see, you have a bet and you lost and you want to pretend queues are worse than they are, even though ANYONE can log into the game RN and see its false.

Cool, thanks for exposing yourself buddy, nothing else needed. We are done here

For me, DPS queue times for comp have been 1-4 minutes max, where as in OW1 it was usually 12-20 minutes. I’m able to play 20 games in the same time it would have taken me to play 5 or 6. I’m US East though (they finally added an East coast server, yay), though sometimes I get placed in the LAX1 (west coast) server.

5v5 ruined alotta of the tanks. Dive tanks are un useable atm really. Blizz just didnt do anything to address it, just forced 5v5 on us like biden forcing EV on USA. They needed to rework the dive tanks. Its a failure of imagination.

Most tanks are pretty trash if you want to climb beyond gold/plat. Hog, JQ, DF, Ball and Winston are basically just feeders. Reins also difficult to play with randoms.

I was also correct about the lack of content (we actually lost more than we gained), queue times not being addressed (support is the new bottleneck), maps and heroes not properly adjusted for 5v5, missing features, that they were going to lie about various things, which at its heart is why we have heroes locked behind a battle pass. Lack of progression as it would be exclusively tied to battle pass. That push would have the same issues 2cp was known for. That they would continue knee jerk changes based on community tears instead of following their own road map. And also that their road map was literally going to be the same as before, only now we have to pay for it.

I was right about a lot. But you know what I was actually wrong about? The game is pretty fun.

I didn’t. I played around 150h the first year it was out and then would occasionally pop on for a few days here and there or when some big “zomg they finally fixin da meta” patch would roll out. None of which fixed the core gameplay loop issues.

Queue support and your queue will be less than 60 seconds. The problem right now is that everyone wants to be a gogogo dps.

That’s not what dooming is.

Having reasonable concerns based on facts is not dooming.

A doomer can never be right because they are being irrational without any facts.

Even if their anxieties become real they were never right, just worrying for nothing and contributing nothing meaningful to the conversation.

Now that OW2 is out and we know it have problems we can all talk about them rationally.

So again. A doomer is not a person with genuine concerns, it’s someone who shouts the sky is falling for no reason. Even by coincidence, hey are never right.

a doomer is everyone who does not defend blizzard for their bs decisions.

when did that culture come into OW???

OW games are too long for you? I assume OW is the only multiplayer you play then?

It always goes into overtime even when you’re getting steamrolled. When the teams are so lopsided, it should end fast, otherwise it’s just ten minutes of being canon fodder.

Your game can be like this,

and it would still go into overtime. Just end it.

And yes, i have played other online multiplayer fpses. Mostly Korean FPSes but i also played COD, Battlefield, counterstrike, quake, fear, etc. I’ve played FPS games where the match can take as long as an hour, but OW2 is still too long. A lot of it is either doing nothing, or getting killed and walking. It’s gotten even worse in 5v5 where the match is unwinnable the moment someone dies but players last just long enough for the others to trickle in one by one and stall before immediately getting killed.

I agree and the ironic part is during Beta 1 it was 2 minutes shorted and they added 2 more min for some reason…

OW1 closed so they could monetize its content. There is no other reason sadly.

Especially on push. One team pushes the robot 100 meters to start off and then you end up trading ults for 10 minutes and are never able to come back and win because that lead is too much. Those matches are decided within a minute yet you’re forced to play for 10.

“The game is dead to me, so it must be dead for everyone!”
Nah. You haven’t been playing, you’ve been doomer for so much longer than you’d claim.
And since you are one of the doomers (I see you crying rather frequently), this is the equivalent of sniffing your own fart in front of everyone.
Store pricing doesn’t take away from the fun gameplay. Queue times are more than okay. You were mindlessly queuing in OW1 as well, and it wasn’t problem then lmao

plus OWL reasons… no one watches it and blizzard needs money from the team owners that do not even pay anymore.

Doomers were just being realistic and don’t have overblown expectations like most.
OW2 is everything I thought it was going to be, for better and worse. Amazing games usually don’t have the type of controversy that surrounded OW2 leading up to release.

Not terrible but not great either. Just mediocre
