I’m happy to see that the developers reigned in some of the PTR changes slightly. I still think that the changes to Orisa are a bit too much. That fortify nerf on top of the last one is just a lot.
But they did listen. They softened the nerfs to both Orisa and Sigma slightly. And they didn’t go through with ThicCree.
I can count the number of times this has happened and I’m hoping we see more of this with PTR feedback. Also, 2 patches in January so far. That’s… that’s new.

Now they need to listen about Torb, Bastion, Symmetra, Mercy, Moira, Soldier, Genji, Sombra…

I agree completely. +50hp on McCree would have been a big mistake.
I only wish they kept Sig’s reduced range and found a way to split the difference on the window to cancel his Ult, but whatever.

Orisa is likely getting some shield back soon enough.
I’m a bit dumb, but what was reduced on sigma nerfs? beyond that, glad to see they lighten a little on orisa (even if I wish to never play her again after this meta lol). Also interested in how mcree will be moving foward

Yeah, there’s still a lot of work to do. There’s still some power crept DPS and there’s some DPS heroes that have been sitting in the gutter for years at this point. But I’m encouraged that we got 2 patches this month and one of the PTR patches was different when it went live. Maybe they are going to fix the tempo of their balancing at least.
I think 700 hp or maybe a 9 second cooldown would be nice. I thought her current shield with 9 seconds on fortify and 9 seconds on the shield would probably feel pretty good. We’ll see how it goes from here.

They took out the range reduction on his primary fire. They kept the damage reduction for his rock and the changes to his ult.
That’s beautiful! I’m honestly ok with that. Just hope this helps move to more map dependent metas.

Devs keep powercreeping dps that has already been powercreeped his mind out, while sledgehammer nerfing the supports and tanks that are the only things keeping everything from falling apart into a dps spamfest.
Last patch was decent, this one not so much.

pretty sure this patch had 2 dps nerfs. The reapening getting nerfed along with storm arrow are both designed to make things better for tanks.

I’m glad too, I really hope this becomes a new trend. Sometimes changes are too heavy handed and getting community feedback gives them the perspective they need to roll them back to an acceptable place.

This right here. Try more stuff on PTR and get feedback especially if we get faster and more frequent balance changes.
Although that Baptiste heal probably should go back up to 60heal

He did get hit a bit too hard.

I think this is they key. I am not a big fan of heavy handed changes. But if I know in 2 weeks that that hero might get a buff if it was an overnerf then I’d be less reactionary to them. It’s the idea of a hero dying for months or years that really is hard to swallow.

They are listening.
Just because they don’t do what you want doesn’t mean they aren’t listening. There are many more players than just you and the echo chambers that can exist on the forums

That’s understandable. Shoot I remember a time my mains where borderline throw picks when I started off (Junk and Hog before their buffs in season 5-6). Hopefully this new trend continues, it’s made me more excited then ever to try the changes out!

The benefit of faster changes is they can use multiple smaller changes, instead of one big change.
And if they mess it up, they can reverse it faster.

Yeah, there’s a chance this makes Moira the top healer again. I’m not sure we really want that. I think it’s an attempt to break bunker / double shield hard though so that maybe there’s a sliver of hope for dive. I just think deathball / brawl is likely to be the top dog now.
Yeah, the gun nerf isn’t so bad. Hopefully this will silence the “hE oUtDaMaGeS sOlDiEr QQ” crowd some but the healing nerf is…very, very noticeable.
