Aight, im calling it. Hog buffs, hog meta. Rn we’re on orisa (OWCS is just orisa mirrors rn), and the last time we had orisa running around, they gut her and outcomes the pig. After that mauga and they’ll buff orisa again. The cycle repeats
Oh, I play 6v6… So, we just sort of shoot the tanks and they die.

Idk about na and eu, but the most competitive region, Korea, while it has orisa, there has still been a good amount of tank variety. With Winston, ball, Dva, hazard, ram, mauga, even a bit of Zarya and doom were played in the racoons vs t1 series.
I like Hog strong and I like Orisa weak, so that’s fine by me.
But they’ll probably microbuff Zarya until you don’t see Orisa, then cycle back. Hog was only strong that one time at the start of OW2 and they nerfed him into the sea for what felt like decades.
Well it happens when you have a balance team as god awful at their jobs, as the overwatch balance team.
Where they fully understand not a single soul wants or cares for orisa to even be remotely viable, yet they will keep randomly buffing her even though they know, they’ll eventually have to butcher her all over again.
And during this process fortify will keep dodging the nerfs it should’ve gotten 3 years ago, it’ll keep being busted and the problem with orisa will keep existing. So again, I’ll say:
This balance team should’ve been replaced years ago. They are incompetent. They do not play their own game. They do not understand their own game. They spin a wheel at Blizzard HQ to determine changes, because no human being with a sane mind keeps repeating the same mistake THIS often.
Being on a balance team for a video game is somehow the easiest way to keep a job because they seemingly are never held accountable for being consistently bad at their job for years on end.

Fortunately, things aren’t as bad in 6v6.
The dramatically overtuned tanks are Ball, Doom, Hog, Ram, Hazard.
Even still, you can kinda play anything.
Keep sleeping on Rein.
Let him accumulate buffs.
