losing streak of epic proportions. literally no possibility of winning any of the games.

and what? they expect me to grind the rest of the season to climb a couple divisions, when all it takes to drop three divisions is like one afternoon with crap matchmaking?

i just turned the game on, checked my career profile, and turned the game back off.

If you rank down while winning twice as many matches as you lose, you deserve to drop.
6 wins 3 losses means a 66% winrate, you will climb up.

If it DID mean anything to the overall play of the game then by your own admitted logic, no one can rank up no matter what they do. Therefore, by your own same logic, I should be considered the greatest to ever play because I was able to take an account from silver to near diamond. And so have so many others. So it’s either the game specifically has it out for you and a handful of players, or it’s just a you problem that you continually try and make everyone else’s problem. I’ll let choose which it is.
For every person that has a positive winrate and drops there’s people who have a negative win rate and climb.
This is exacerbating the terrible state of the MM.
Their implementation of skill based SR gains is a joke, it’s not working well and it often forces people to be higher or lower than their actual skill level. You can’t apply a skill based SR system in a game like OW that is team focused and has objectives.

In both cases the rank isn’t calibrated yet. Normally both of this doesnt happen, if you have a positive winrate you’ll climb.
Thats what the devs thought too. Because of that they removed it with OW2
The problem with PBSR was that it rewarded stat padding and not playmaking.
That too. Either way it shouldn’t be in the game (and isn’t).

I just lost 8 of my 10 Open Queue Qualifiers but still made Gold 3 (ended last season Plat 5).

The only upside to this forceful loop:
it’s an opportunity to learn how to control your emotions, detach self from reward and/or consequence and only focus on ONLY WHAT YOU CAN DO in every situation.

It blows my mind how people think the tank is supposed to wait for the team to push instead of the team following the tank and playing around their tank and their actions. This games playerbase is so bad, this game is legitimately only playable in a group of like minded individuals that can actually rub two brain cells together and actually know how to play the game .
the tank is the leader, they’re first , they’re the ones that’s actually supposed to call the shots. you don’t like that and like to sit back and play scared & blame it on “rushing in” - fine, then lose then & wonder why “stomps” happen because you like to lay down like a doormat to get stomped on. it’s really not hard to watch your tank and attack with them. you don’t think tanks suffer from dumb teammates too?
