The old lead writer replied to my post on here a while ago and confirmed that Hammy is an engineer. So he falls in line with Torbjorn in those regards and is something to add to the “we can be quite sure” list.

He’s not half man half robot - he’s a cyborg.
Roadhog was an enforcer, meaning he was someone who acted as the muscle for someone else. He was not a leader of any sort.
