Comp game modes are dumb and making them the only way to play the event gamemode is even dumber. Just ruin a week of the event with the stress of tryhards screaming in your ear because thats what comp is.
Having two deathmatch modes as the weekly would be fine if the daily wasn’t 1v1 every day. Y’know, so that there’s something other than deathmatch in the arcade. (Mystery Heroes doesn’t count because MH is garbage. I’m still not sure why it’s the defacto arcade mode.)
I’d really just love to play the arcade without having to be subjected to deathmatch, y’know? Just play some regular, non-comp CTF, during this, the event of CTF.
This past week has had a terrible selection of weeklies and 1v1/Mystery Duel being the only dailies has meant I haven’t played at all this week. It’s a great strategy for user retention, pushing players out!

I have to agree with this thread the selection has been absolute garbage for a tagged game ‘team-shooter’.
I should be able to play more than just Mystery Heroes in a 6v6 format in arcade. Single // Lower-team format shouldn’t cripple all at once the arcade. CTF // Comp CTF should be in the same icon selection rather than trying to occupy as most space possible. I don’t like any of the FFA/TDM modes, but if they do spawn in the rotation at once, they shouldn’t occupy more than 1 slot neither, it’s basically the same mode roughly.
Total Mayhem, Low Gravity, Mystery Heroes, No Limits, 6v6 Format elims (and its variants) should honestly have higher priorities (and CTF out of the event), the rest really should be instead located in a sub-menu for the different format than what QP/Arcade provides, as well as Event icon outside of arcade.
Might sound stupid idea, but I didn’t even enjoy playing at all since the event begun much.
Next deathmatch isn’t going to be mystery is it? >_>
Just because you don’t like Mystery Heroes doesn’t mean the rest of us can’t love it.
IMO, MH-DM is the best arcade mode there is.
Oh look. The new weeklies are MORE DEATHMATCH! Because if one week wasn’t good enough, why not two in a row?

why was normal ctf only in arcade for one week? I don’t understand. This is literally the CTF event and we can’t play CTF outside competitive.

What’s the point of even having modes that “change weekly” if it’s just gonna be deathmatch. Again. Three weeks in a row. Such amazing change!
