I currently just broke into plat but when I dropped down to 2456 I was still plat because you get 5 games before you drop rank. If I end the season like this will I get the rewards for platinum

it still goes by the tier you achieved highest

wich is why end of season throwers is a thing

I believe you get the rewards for the highest SR you hit in a season.

can confirm

you only need the to actually be top500 to get the rewards for being top500 all other rewards just go by the highest tier you had during the season
