For the people that missed the hero teasers at Blizzcon 2019, here’s a picture with the silhouettes of 4 heroes:

The first silhouette seems to be Sojourn, who we already know is confirmed for Overwatch 2.
The second silhouette seems to be an old wizard with a staff.
The third silhouette seems to be a hero with two swords (another melee hero?)
And the fourth silhouette has some sort of pet. It looks like a fennec fox to me.
I was too slow… You got me tex.
My Geekdom calls ‘fake’ on that 3rd silhouette. Looks like the Yuffie Render from one of the FF7 sequels.

But I didnt attend Blizcon, so ech.
I don’t think that is the correct “concept”. In the silhouette, the cross is an awkward shape, which leads me to believe it wouldn’t have much impact if thrown like the weapon on that character art.
I definitely think the weapon in the silhouette is two swords, or some other dual wield melee weapon.
Edit: Actually, after looking closer, it does look like its one weapon! One hand is on the weapon, and one hand is on the hero’s waist.
I understood this image was made up by some news outlets because the actual picture was shown SUPER quickly in a presentation and nobody got a shot of it.
That and character #2 looks crazily close to a wow character (check them shoulder pads)
The silhouette looks horrible. So many jagged edges. Looks nowhere professional.

During a PowerPoint presentation at Blizzard’s office, run by game director Jeff Kaplan, four silhouettes for previously unseen heroes briefly appeared on screen. Game Informer believes that three of the four were likely women, but only got a proper look at two of them.
One was a woman with short hair, who had a “fuzzy little critter with pointy ears and an equally pointy tail” at their side. She wielded a “giant four-sided weapon,” which Game Informer compares to a thicker version of Yuffie’s shuriken from Final Fantasy VII. The other, who appeared to be a man, “held a crooked staff, looking somewhat like a wizard, warlock, or voodoo priest.”
So it looks like someone who read this tried to duplicate it… and has some reading comprehension issues because the 4 side weapon lady is also supposed to have the animal companion.
EDIT: looking at the pic… MAYBE the animal is with her? … but still that giant “shuriken” isn’t much thicker than yuffies.
Oddly enough I was looking into this yesterday cause I remembered about it a while ago. and what the guy says matches the description of these, they seem…shoddy though?
And what creature is that? is that a fennec fox?

If these heroes are actually coming then I guess I’m excited again for ow2 ? But tbh they don’t look like ow hero at all except maybe the first one which is soujourn I think

It’s not 2 swords, you can tell because only one of the hero’s hands is holding something and the other is on their hip

The first one really doesn’t look like Sojourn to me since in the animated trailer thingy she had a machine gun sort of thing.

“Staff wielding wizard guy” could potentially be a silhouette of this Null sector omnic in the middle of this picture.

That image was made up by someone, based off the description that Game Informer gave of the silhouettes that were shown. We have not seen the actual silhouettes.
