The 20% Damage Nerf on Mauga is Awful in every way

Unless what they Wanted was to Gut him, then they did a Great Job.

20% Less Damage Means 20% Less Lifesteal and 20% Less Ultimate Charge. Holy Crap!

Alongside the +50% Bullets needed to Activate Afterburn, Mauga is now FORCED to Run Up on the Enemy Tank, Unload ALL OF HIS AMMO and Hope that that makes up for the fact that he literally cannot do anything else.

Poking is Impossible, since his Crits will never actually Activate at Range.

Also, his ultimate Effectively Costs 20% More AND they Nerfed it Anyway? Gawd Damn Blizzard, this is like the Time you sent Doomfist out to the Farm because he Dared to be Playable FOR A WEEK!

TL;DR: Mauga HAS to be a Suicidal Tank Buster, Else he does NO Damage or Dies from a Lack of Self-Healing and Teammates Yelling Slurs at him to Switch.

Edit: Ok, now I’ve Heard they Reverted his Moronic Ignite Nerfs? That’s still a 20% Nerf on EVERYTHING though.

He needed the damage nerf. Dude just shredded almost every other tank in the game singlehandedly. True, a damage nerf indirectly weakens his survivability, but they’ve already stated they’re buffing that in the next patch.

I’m surprised they went straight down to 4, and not 4.5.

I imagine that the 4 damage won’t last long.

Honestly his issue is 50% of the time hes TOO good the other 50% your dead.

When he’s leeching he’s really difficult to kill. But bring Anti or a shield or a matrix and your tissue paper. Id Honestly rather they buff his natural Survivability and nerf overdrive a bit. He’s a bit TOO reliant on it.

As well as bring his damage back to 4.5.

The issue is is people focus on one gun and say (It was only a 1 damage nerf but it was actually 2 and thats a LOT

5+5=10
4+4=8
AND 4.5+4.5=9

It’s obvious 10 is too high and 8 is too low so…

Honestly with one gun causing ignition i wouldn’t mind each gun being a bit more unique.

The current effect. But 9 damage.

(Note with this idea they would have separate ammo pools but both guns would use the same ammo if fired together but you could reload 1 gun while firing the other)
