I kinda hope 1-3-2 goes live if it’s balanced even when it halfs the community

Reason?
Some people are up to test it, some are scared but like, how can’t you be scared right? But we’re up to trying changes, suggesting possibilities in case this goes live, etc. The ones that are up to try this out are thinking outside of the box and trying to make this one of the best features, you could say they’re trying to improve role queue

I haven’t seen yet a post about hating 1-3-2 that says any suggestion to help 2-2-2, so I’d rather go with the ones that actually try make changes and help in the forums, I think that’s the real community

There are 2 sides now, and I prefer the 1-3-2 defenders, since they’re actually providing useful thoughts instead of just “no because… No…”

So… Kinda salty… I think… Anyway, defend your position and… Give some useful feedback like, please

I’m excited to give it a try, just to see what’s different, honestly. As a Mercy main and a tank-D.Va main. (I play Mercy most often, but when I tank it’s as D.Va. Gratuitous explanation is gratuitous.)

I may love it, may hate it, may be neutral. But I want to experience it at least a little bit, see what it’s about. I’ll do so with every change on the experimental card, even if it makes me uneasy. (Even if it’s hypothetical Mercy nerfs.)

I mean as a Mercy main, I’d mostly like to see quality of life adjustments? Then again, I started playing after the rework so I’m used to how it feels. I wouldn’t be against buffs, but I also know the playing field between #buffMercy and #nerfMercy is about equal. I have even expectations of them putting either (nerfs or buffs) or no Mercy changes on the experimental card. :stuck_out_tongue:

The problem with 1-3-2 is that is not simply adding 1-3-2 and it fixes anything. It changes the game. Tanks need to be beefier or a lot of DPS are going to need to be nerfed. Off-tanks like Zarya also will need to be touched a lot maybe even to the point of a rework. The only thing that may change with 1-3-2 is that DPS in some ranks will not reach 10 minutes Queue, and they will still get the longest queue by far, even with 4 DPS they would.

So the only thing 1-3-2 would achieve in the end is destroy any balance the game had in exchange for a bit shorter Queue for DPS.

I know right, they are killing me.
All these people whining about the game being “once again” made for dps and their caprice, ruining the game for everyone don’t even understand that’s we on board of the same ship.

I personally don’t care if tank is funnier than dps or if healers feel that they always get nerfed while dps are buffed.

So point is that a huge part of the playerbase is’nt attracted to protecting roles or support and wants to shine by taking kills in absolutely every game.
I, for sure, don’t know if 1-3-2 is good for the game but I could’nt care more than I do to know that vocal healers feel their role has been nerfed and that they cannot play as they want and don’t feel concerned by the dps queue time.
Don’t get me wrong, I love playing healer, it’s just that if you don’t have fun with it, just don’t play support. Having 8 to 15 minutes queue times for dps, which is the preferred role of 70% of the playerbase in any game, including the silent part, is just unviable.

They have hero pools. They could just get rid of role queue and prevent against things like Goats or Double Shield by removing key pieces of the comps from the hero pools in rotation. I don’t think this is the best answer. But we’ll see.

I’m going to try it, I didn’t like role queue and forced 2/2/2 on paper but loved them when they hit comp for that season before being universally implemented.

I do have far more reservations about this. I remember playing solo role and the heat and pressure that came with it. Without a friend to help take the heat it got hard and frustrating fast. I’d really prefer a system that kept two in each role, say 2/3-4/2 but that’s my personal opinion having no idea how 1/3/2 is going to feel.

I wish, Matchmaking would be more of a preset, like you need to opt-in into several formations, like 2-2-2, 3-3, 1-3-2, etc.

I don’t think 1-3-2 is a good way to reduce DPS queue times. It’ll just ruin the gameplay itself.

I’m not a 132 hater, but I’m suggesting more equalization of the tank role here in this thread for 222:

1-3-2 will not help with queue times if it drives out enough tanks. That’s worth remembering.
