This is why Fortnite will remain relevant. Overwatch could take some notes. I don’t like or play Fortnite nor do I watch the streams. Things like this expand and keep a community interested.

I just don’t see the appeal. A new superhero movie. That’s it. 
It’s not like we had 50 others this year or something, it is overdone thing by this point tbh.

I think there are far more titles and franchises that last quite long on the staying power of their own creativity and mechanics than with aesthetic crossovers.
What Fortnite is doing is a nice novelty, though. But I have no desire for Overwatch to delve into other IPs, especially when the potential for original cosmetics hasn’t been mined yet.
I’m still waiting for the Fursuit skin pack. Lucio already has Ribbit/Hippity-Hop. They just made D.va a cat lady. I mean, c’mon. Not that big a leap Blizzard.

Fortnite also has community servers. Something Overwatch doesn’t have yet, and will most likely never get. All because the dev’s seem to think it would separate the community. Which it wouldn’t, it would only create a better one.
If I’m being perfectly honest I’m just so tired of hearing about Marvel that any form of media that I don’t have to hear about them, I’ll be grateful for

You’re upset that the crossover of multiple hero movies that have been going on for years and years is getting so much media attention?
Some people grew up on these movies, some grew up on the comics. You don’t have to like it but you do have to acknowledge that it’s good and the work that went into building it all up is astounding. You should have expected this, you think it was gonna die down after the first week? If you don’t like it, just keep scrolling.
