Thanks for deleting the game I paid for

And giving me an inferior version, why is it that everything Blizzard touches gets progressively worse? You started with a polished near perfect game and have whittled it down into its most basic elements by pandering to the minority. 6v6 was CORE to the experience, a lot of testing had been done before overwatch was even out that 6 v 6 is what worked. Now we are left with a broken half assed experience that doesn’t know what its trying to be when you had a perfectly viable game before. Nothing but broken promises and lies on lies. Every update makes the game closer to a MOBA than an FPS and it strays away from the original idea. For what? So you can monetize better? Why was it necessary to delete the original if you were confident OW2 was superior players would naturally switch, instead you force it because you know absolutely well that you are offering an inferior experience and devaluing it by making the game free to play.
An absolute slap in the face to the consumer, I sincerely hope this conglomerate goes under and nothing new comes out from this corpse stealing zombie of a company.

Meanwhile to me I feel OW keeps getting better and Blizzard is changing it in ways I didn’t always know I would end up enjoying getting.

Shills love to talk up the game or dissuade the OP in threads like these.

Name anything specifically that has been improved in your opinion.

  1. They expanded the roster over time continually. Supports have more options than ever before after originally only starting with 3.
  2. They have been removing 1shots and the dumb easy kills combos such as neutering Mei, McCree, Junk nade combo, hog combos, minimized rein charge dmg, etc.
  3. They made tanks feel powerful while not being over barring as a whole by only having one now.
  4. They have taken numerious heroes and reworked them into a better version. Making SYmmetra more viable on more maps by removing her bad parts. Doomfist is no longer spammable CC and high lehtality for low effort. Mercy has more variation in her kit than launch.
  5. The hard CC has been generally removed from the game in favor of more softer CC options. Rather than a full stun with no action during it, they give you a hard slow, but still the ability to act out of it.
  6. Armor now works against all damage types meaning burst damage is not as universally effective against literally everything.
  7. They have recently adjusted longer range burst kills like hitscan from Widow and Hanzo.
  8. Overwatch became not JUST PvP and can now be a proper title with both PvP and PvE additions soon.
  9. High shield count in the game still exists, but its a more manageable scale now.
  10. The game has gone free to play and crossplay meaning its beena ble to outreach more people than ever before.
  11. The custom modes got added with additional AI.
  12. The custom modes gain more coding options to do interesting things.

There are some sacrifices along the way, but the remaining result to me is a net positive a whole.

Eh, to me OW2 feels like a side-grade more than anything. DPS feels better to play for sure, mostly because I can actually queue for DPS now without having to wait >10 minutes every time even in QP.

But tanking felt more enjoyable back in OW1. And that’s saying something considering how much CC was back in OW1 which made tanking miserable. Although I do enjoy tankfist which wasn’t available back in OW1.

Support also feels like a side grade. Some aspect of support felt better in OW1 (2 tanks made it easier to hard carry games). But at the same time, support’s sustain have been mega-buffed in OW2 to compensate against flankers, so it’s not so bad playing support in OW2 either.

So is it better? For me, it’s both a yes and a no.

You still didnt pay for Overwatch

??

We are 6+ months in OW2 and people still cry about it. You would have thought that people who dont enjoy OW2, would have already moved on… but no! They wait 6 months and play a game they dont enjoy, then make a frustrated thread about it in a forum that the devs will not read and then (very likely) continue to play the game.

I hope you feel better for the rant you posted, but OW1 was not nearly as “sunshine and rainbows” as people make it out to be. It was a disaster on multiple fronts. The only thing I could understand would be having another player on the team was comforting, but in general? OW1 was bad compared to OW2. People who say otherwise are just full of nostalgia.

“OW2 is just a patch!! it’s not a real sequel!!”
“Why did you delete OW1?!”

The amount of copium this guy has inhaled is dangerous.

It makes it seem like the game is in a healthy state instead of almost dead.

Core gameplay is far better. Queue times are far better. Match quality is about the same unfortunately but for faster queue times and equal match quality that’s a good trade. Oh and we get content again versus being a dead game that generated no revenue.

It used to be when you played a Blizzard game there was no doubt that it would be a quality game-not perfect but not a living abortion like O2.

Post like this I find hilarious, must be a plant or just really needs to be contrarian. Literally nothing you wrote necessitated OW1 being replaced with OW2. Arguably we would have had more heroes, archive events, skins, cinematics and balance changes to OW1 had it not been halted for OW2 development. All the balances of characters, armor, one shot, even 5V5 could have all been done in OW1. As a added bonus we wouldn’t have to deal with Blizzards new monetization scheme.

OW2 is a cash grab plain and simple.

If you want OW1 experience - look at the wall for 10-16 mins first, yeah, just look. Okay, now you can shoot it for 12 mins. Then wait another 10-16 mins to shoot the wall for 12 mins. GL

Well this post just screams “I have an opinion that I think is a fact”

What a weird take, you just want him to preempt every point with “I think” “maybe” “but idk” so that you can then bash him for being uncertain or unconfident.

It’s such a stupid nothing point, like dude I could say the exact same thing about what you just said and it’d be more fair to say.

Where did I say I would bash him for saying “I think”?

Nice projection.

blizzard knights in nutshell they doesn’t breath Oxygen anymore they breath copium on daily basis

So close to understanding, yet so far. What you tried to “call him out” for was way more applicable to you, and my other point was just that if it wasn’t that, it would’ve been some other bs
