Thank you, heroes. Let's talk about our next steps for Overwatch 2!

They are fixing the game? Why do you think that deciding to give some cosmetics that were meant to be paid cosmetics away for free means that they are not working on fixing the game?

Attaching an upsell at the end of an apology is laughable

Could you please make a 100$ skin for D.va?
Where the mech is like this big white whale and when she boosts, it shrieks „gimme moneeeey“.

And maybe you could also replace D.va‘s head with that of Bobby K and animate it South-Park style?

That would be great!

I always make this point on reddit. People say its trite to say “How can you be against capitalism or pollution when you buying electronics directly feed into both”, however its still a question they can’t answer, so I like to pressure them with it.

Besides, I don’t even care if you think capitalism is bad, but you want to buy Iphones and other nonsense. I just hate to see people using “capitalism” as a whipping boy so they can complain and look like a good person while not doing anything to help.

Quite the opposite, I will never have to pay for a blizzard game again
I am only a player, not a payer now, F2P is a fine transition for me. If they ever go P2W I will quit (d4 not looking good after seeing immortal).

I say this as someone who has been playing Blizzard games since the mid-90s and even bought items for friends and family in the WoW shop. I never spent money on OW1 but I did buy 3 copies of the game, PC, console, and a smurf. Anyways I guess now I get to play the games for free since I am not really into fashion in games.

Exactly. Progressing in a free Battlepass that awards nothing I care about, for heroes I don’t play, in a game that’s no longer fun. Wow. Double XP for that is really gonna get me to put in the hours. /s

People who don’t know how to grow anything, can’t fight to defend themselves and don’t know how to maintain, fix or build the machines that provide the things you need to live are always the ones.

I’m with you.

I’ve spent hundreds on OW over the years (PC/console versions, lootboxes, and merch), but havent paid a cent on OW2 and dont plan to with this model.

I’ll admit that I like the Kiriko and Mercy pass skins, but the pass doesnt respect my time and buying levels is ridiculous. And the shop prices are laughable.

Wow. Just wow. Blizz now trying to bribe us into thinking everything is ok. What in the world are they thinking?

I’m with other people. Fix the extremely greedy monetization. Until they do that, they aren’t getting another cent from me. I don’t even care about all the bugs and glitches, which are rather pathetic on top of the other changes. Stop kicking us in the face Blizzard, and maybe you’ll get people to stop being angry with you.

Why do people keep saying that $10 is no big deal? It’s not about how much money Blizz is charging for the battlepass. It’s the scummy way they are manipulating me into almost certainly needing to spend even more money.

You don’t get all the battlepass when you spend $10, you have to unlock it, which means grinding, which means if you don’t grind needing to pay for levels to finish it off. If Blizz made an OW2 with new content and charged $40 for it, I might not mind. But here they are attempting to raise the ceiling so I might end up spending $100, $200, or even more over the course of playing the game. Plus if I don’t spend I end up feeling really bad because I’m missing out on content. I get that this system makes companies more money and lets them keep supporting a game. But it’s a lot different buying something because it has value and makes you feel good, then buying something because you don’t want to feel bad. The second method may make more money, but it also makes me hate the company because it’s obvious I’m being manipulated.

Completely useless and don’t want it.

Give us credits for compensation… literally you guys dropped the ball so much for a dam charm and exp that is only viable if u purchased premium. This game is going downhill fast.

Where’s the apology for the gross monetisation of the game? Charging people $20 for skins that they could have earned for free in OW1 is disgusting, and entirely against the ethos of the company you’re supposed to represent. You’ve sucked the soul out of the game, and grinding 8 months for one legendary skin? Locking a hero behind at the very least 3 weeks of grind? You’re a joke and your “thanks” should be an apology.

Because a significant number of players in this game are either teenagers or kids that never earned any money themself and get most of it from their parents. So obviously $10 is not much for them.

If it’s actual adults, still having the money of their parents only, it becomes rather questionable.

Did you see the We Should Improve Society Somewhat meme (Still can’t post links or I would link it) and think it was a blueprint for how to argue? You know it was the exact opposite right?

I can criticize something and still utilize it. In the case of capitalism or pollution, I really don’t have a choice do I? I can’t live in the US and not take part in Capitalism, its literally not possible. I try my best to minimize the affect my actions have on pollution, but again its literally not possible in our current society to live and not contribute to pollution in some way.

By your logic no one can point out a flaw in anything they participate in. So you agree our Government is run perfectly fine. You have no issues with anything right? After all you rely on the US government to live.

OW2 is a masterpiece with no bugs? After all you are presumably playing it, at the very least posting in the OW forums is still a form of participation.

Capitalism isn’t a person it doesn’t have feelings you don’t need to defend it.

Cold war gave us internet, WWII gave us the precursor to the computer.

Capitalism has held technological advancements back more than it’s improved because you make more money preventing the next best thing from coming out.

would have preferred double the coins for weekly challenges. Seriously the monetization is utterly garbage.

A legendary shouldn’t take 7 months of grind. Didn’t y’all learn from halo infinites mistake? You can’t charge 20 bucks for a skins and think the average user will ever think it’s a good deal. I’d rather buy a whole game with that money.

I have never fully agreed with this. Personally, I think if you’re using something that’s responsible for heinous things in your opinions, you shouldn’t use those things. Of course, maybe it depends on the opinions or critique you give. If you, for example, said something like “Police should do more to protect citizens”, I’d be fine with you calling the cops.

However, there’s people who scream “abolish police, ACAB, no good cops” and all that. If I see you running to the police afterwards, I will bring that up.

I think you guys take that for granted; not everyone agrees with “I can critique and then use and benefit from that thing”.

Also

But you can minimize your impact on it so that you aren’t literally one of the reasons its so bad while saying “capitalism bad”. Do you need the new Iphone, or car, and such?

ALSO also

If you read my comments, my point isn’t to defend capitalism. Its to point out that the people who say “Capitalism bad!” aren’t helping a single thing. They’re using it as an easy target to avoid sticking their necks out while still looking good. I don’t give a damn about capitalism, but I do care about fake people. I think I explicitly stated this, but I see you’re responding to my second comment, so maybe you didn’t see?

I freely assume most people do that, by the way. Is there a sincere critique of capitalism online? Maybe. What i know for a fact is that we see Bobby Kotick and the rest of the suits in Blizzard making the game worse, and what are you guys doing instead of demanding things from the specific people?

“Capitalism bad! Capitalism bad!”

And then you wait for your fake internet points while the real culprits go scot free. Thanks.

new among us hero very suspicious

You still think we’re getting this?

Well maybe. 1 pvp mission purchasable for $60 or after 1 years worth of coin farming.

If you’re going to remove free loot boxes AND sell a premium battlepass then any skins that come out during the battlepass MUST be included in the battlepass.

no Triple Dipping
you’re being way too greedy!

BAD BLIZZARD! NO!
