In most of my matches, I’ve had an issue with text chat where when some players type, there doesn’t seem to be a significant pattern with who, their name identifier to the right of their chat message is replaced with, “[[unknown]]”. This happens in teams chat and all chat, and it occurs in all of my games. I have no idea what is causing this, but it certainly seems like a bug. Both the enemy team and my team can appear as [[unknown]], and the [[unknown]] only appears in text chat, and no where else. It doesn’t ever show [[unknown]] for voice chat, or for when I look at the scoreboard.

it appears if they are playing on steam, can often narrow it down by looking at who has a steam account linked to their bnet
I noticed that it shows my steam account name instead of my in-game name, but only to myself. Other players tell me they see [Unknown] as my name.
Got the same issue. Thank god I’m not the only one so it could hopefully get fixed soon. It’s starting to get annoying.
